Please help..it has 5 red lights showing the wash cycle and where it is at.now it only gets to the second red light showing it is in its main wash cycle, but there it washes fine, then stops.leaving the dishes hot and soapy. So the problem i have is it no longer goes through its full cycle??.It use to go through to the end, indicating that it has done its full cycle. And the dishes were great. So just to recap!Does not do the full cycle!.any recommendations?

Hard to help much without you posting the manufacturer and model number but if your dishwasher is more than a few years old and it has a mechanical dial , I would suspect that dial / timer has failed and needs to be replaced.
Please post back here what you find, OK?
Good Luck!

either the pump is not working or the discharge hose is clogged, if you have an air gap on the sink take the hose off and hold it down see if the water comes out by tself if so the pump is bad if not the drain is colgged take out the bottom tray you will need a 1/4 inch nut driver take the plastic screen cover plate off clear it of debris, there is a sharp metal blade in there so be careful, after cleaning it out turn on to rinse and see if it drains if not you will need to either replace the dishwasher or the pump, dollar for dollar new dishwasher time

sounds like you may not be getting enough water.it will stop if water is in short supply.this may be if you are running washer at the same time.or running a bath.if hot water is in short supply, this maybe a hotwater heater problem.have you been running out of hot water when showering or bathing?

Check your owner's guide; it may be defaulting to an 'economy' cycle to qualify for 'Energy Saver' status. You may have to choose a less-efficient cycle to enable the heating element for drying. We also open the door slightly to allow moisture to escape. On some units however, it's possible that the interlock will shut the element off if the door is at all open.
