I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4x4 4.7. i have no heat it only blows cold air and gurgling sounds come from dash..is this a heater core that needs to be fixed??

thats kinda 2 things.. lol... but the back pass door.. your actuator in the latch could be bad or someone that used a slimjim to unlock the car on that door bent the rod.. does it move at all when you hit the power lock button ? if it moves some that it could very well be a bent rod.. or the actuator is stuck and needs to be replaced..

On the engine side of the heater core you can remove both hoses when everything's cooled (noting that the hoses usually contain very hot antifreeze so have some way of capturing this, say, in a bucket). Once you've removed the two hoses that attach to the heater core you could flush the heater core with a garden hose--that's generally what a mechanic would do.
And yet, I would suggest that a plugged heater core isn't the problem. Troubleshoot this as a failed "blend door" problem. Google that within the youtube space.
