When the change sidekick charger port jack open mistuckty solder print is open on circuit board now what can I do

sound like you need a new battery or charger or maybe both. try useing a diffrent battery and charger befor buying one

It can be done with difficulty. I change them on a regular basis though as i run a repair business.

Sorry to hear that you are still having trouble. The only other thing to try is your battery on your buddies notebook. If it works there then it is the charging mechanism on your notebook and this would mean replacing the motherboard.
