We repair these A LOT! The jack is unbalanced on the Main Board and is easily detached by normal wear and tear. Soldering the jack back on to the board is a little tricky but the real repair is getting the port sturdy to prevent the issue from re-occurring.
We do a full repair by removing the old solder on the board and the jack then reattach using flux and fresh solder. We also stabilize the port so it doesn't happen again.
You can send it from anywhere in the US and we'll repair it for $39.95 which includes return shipping. I strongly recommend replacing the micro usb / charging port for an additional 9.95

SOURCE: 8300 will not charge

My charge port is broken out of my 8300. I bought an extra battery and an external charger off of eBay for a little of nothing. You can also by a pod that will charge your Blackberry. The two gold tabs on the back of your device beneath the battery is an external charger connection for a desktop pod.

My kindlefire fire is not staying on it will show the kindlefire logo but turn right back off I have a brand new charger and wire but still no luck

Did you turn the Kindle Fire on immediately after inserting the charger?
The battery may be so low that it will not operate until after it has charged for more than 24 hours.
If that is the case, it is also possible that the battery life has been permanently compromised and won't last long even if you finally get it to work.

It is also possible that the charging port on the bottom edge of the Kindle Fire has been damaged...possibly from forcibly inserting a charging cable upside down. If the port is damaged, the cable would not make contact properly and would not charge.

My Kindle Fire will not turn on. I charged it all night and it still will not turn on.

USING THE DEVICE EXCESSIVELY WITH THE CHARGER PLUGGED IN WILL DETERIORATE THE BATTERY'S LIFE CYCLE. IF YOU ASK YOURSELF AND KNOW THAT YOU HAVE DONE THIS.... I AM GOING TO BE HONEST WITH YOU,... YOU NEED A NEW BATTERY... ALSO., EXCESSIVE CHARGING WILL WEAR OUT THE CHARGING PORT. HAVE YOU TRIED A NEW CHARGER???

WHAT is one to do if the charger port is broken and WHAT is the port next to the charger port is that another type of charger port?

First of all, the port next to the charging port is a mini HDMI port for connecting your Kindle to a TV. As far as your broken charging port, you can either send it out for repair or repair it yours self. Check out this link to youtube for repairing the port. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWFMCIdZx2w You can find a replacement port at an electronics store like Radio Shack.

Kindle fire won't charge

You may need a new power cord or it is possible that your Kindle Fire's battery has died. If you noticed the battery life diminishing before it wouldn't charge this may be the case. Here is a site that has replacement batteries for the Kindle Fire:

My Kindle Fire will not start

If you last charged it with the computer USB port, try charging with the supplied AC adapter instead. If you last charged with the computer USB port, try charging with the AC adapter this time. This will help isolate a bad AC adapter / power cord or USB cable / USB port.

It is important to note that if you are charging your Kindle via USB port on a computer, when many computer enters "sleep mode" the USB power is shut off at this time too. Charging is effectively halted - even though still connected. You should only expect to charge while the computer is active or when using the AC adapter.

You can also purchase an aftermarket DC charger. These are small plugs that are inserted into your auto's port or cigar lighter. They provide 1 or 2 USB connectors to plug in a USB cable. These devices are suitable to supply / charge just about any devices that uses a computer's USB port to power / charge a device. They cost anywhere from $5 and up and look something like this:

I hope this helps and good luck!
