Toshiba A135-S4527 starts to power up then shuts down.

When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

Screen wont come on.

first pull out the ram and harddrive one by one and reload the laptop should give you an error code if the computer is reading for those items also try pressing F1 at startup when it goes blank have one at the moment that has that problem and if the fans shut of the hard drive might not be no good......

My Toshiba A135 laptop has totally shut down and will not turn back on

yes44_yes,
If your laptop is only about six months old, I would go to the Toshiba website & register your laptop then Call the tecch support line at (800) 457-7777 most toshiba laptop come with a factory 1 year warranty unless it is a refurbished unit. Then it only has a 30day warranty.
