Delime light stays on after I have descaled the machine

Yes I can under stand this you have done descaleing but you have not done descaleing in the proper way very thing has its sequence let take dolce gusto by pressing for few seconds the power button it will blink in green this means that the machine is now indescaleing mode when you're done you simply press the power of in this case you have told the machine that you want to do descaleing and after this the internal computer is reset to normal this is why you machine is still blinking because it had not been reset

delime the sprayhead and reservoir drain (in the top) with a deliming spring or a screwdriver. to delime the tank, put a half gallon of vinegar in the top and catch the hot water as it comes out of the sprayhead. leave it sit for about 20 minutes and brew at least 8 times (w/o coffee) or until you can no longer taste vinegar

I have the same problem with my Delonghi Magnifica, so maybe there is a glitch in the machine..

Q have your run a descaler . to rid the machine of its deposits . in order for the machine to run properly the parts and pump / screens must be clean . / descaling for deliming . dishwasher and icemakers is common practice . and then i belive the light will not come on . .. hope this helps mm feed back pls

Removing the red descaling light is simple.
1. Fill reservoir with half vinegar and half water (no need for the special descaling product from Tassimo).
2. Turn on machine.
3. Insert yellow cleaning disc found in back of machine.
4. This is where most people have the their problem...You must hold the start button for 3 to 5 seconds for the descaling program to start. Both green and red light will flash.
5. Once started, use a large cup to catch the output of water.
6. The machine will cycle through the descaling program in about 30 to 45 minutes. Be paitent!!!
7. Once completed, run many cups of plain water through the system to remove the vinegar taste.
8. Red light problem is solved.

Descale yes you should every 3 months. Use 48 oz. of white destilled vinager and follow the instructions in your use and care guide

Check the manual to see if the machine has a "Delime Mode".

What you described is exactly what delime mode does, If that is the case simply deactivate delime mode as decribed in the manual.

If this is not the case your machine's timer is stuck in wash mode.

On many commercial models the timers have microswitches that go bad and can be replaced however on a household unit you will probably have to replace the timer.

To reset or clear delime message, on control board there are 3 buttons. from power off, drawer open, manget on door switch, door closed, hold PROG on board and press the ON key on keyboard. pressing select moves to next poption, up arrow increases setting. step through select until you see delime, settings for LXi are de for disabled, and 1 through 65= x100 cycles. rg if set at 5, after 500 cycles the message apears. To keep the settings and clear the message a delime sequence needs to be run precisely as described.

DO NOT MIX DELIME ACID, RINSE AGENTS OR OTHER ACID WITH BLEACH PRODUCTS, OR HAZAEDOUS GASES WILL FORM.

With machine off, remove rack , close door, press and hold wash/delime key and press ON. Delime will be lit on display, release wash/delime key, and let machine fill. you should then see ADD and DELIME on the display, open the door and add the delime agent following supplier's instructions precisely. close the door, press wash, delime will flash. After delime is complete power is turned off. Inspect the machine and repeat if necessary.
DO NOT LEAVE THE ACID IN ANY LONGER THAN RECOMMEDED.

Use white vinegar in water -- about 4 parts water to 1 part vinegar -- pour it into the iron -- let sit for 15 minutes. Empty iron and repeat several times. Then flush iron with water.

There is also deliming solution you can buy -- check product label for how to use on an iron.

How long does it take for your machine to grind for 1 cup? Longer then 10 seconds? Grinder setting?

 

Descaling should be done every 2-3 regardless if the light comes on or not. To reset the light hold the steam button until the light goes off.
