Hobart commercial under the counter diswasher LXIC Model Number 130016. DELIME light comes on every day at startup. Machine will immediatly run (in DELIME mode I think) for about 5-10 min and then get E4 error. We unplug power to the unit let it set, replug it back in after 3-4 cycles of this, it will eventually work perfect for the entire day. I have replaced the Sensor that is on bottom front of the unit in the water trough. ( I replace the sensor to the right if you are looking at the unit there looks to be 2 sensors in the front water trough) . I still have the same problem... it has been getting progressively worse...it use to happen once a week now daily and it getting very hard to get to reset the delime light. What is the problem and part nunber to replace Thanks Mike

    Greetings,

I was away for the hloidays so did not get to you message till now... To this point I ran about 1 gallon of delimer through this machine within past month. I see no lime buildup anywhere. Nor do I have any apparent lime build up on my ice machine that was not delimed in 4 years. So really do not think it is lime.

Again. INSTANTLY when I push the "power" on button . "delime" light comes on . it does not even have a chance to fill machine. I put delimer in the machine it will run for 5 -10 min it will stop with E4 or E5 wrench message... I unplug it then back in again and it works fine. Ohter times I go through the plug and unplug cycle 4-5 times before it resets itself and works for rest of the day. next day delime light is on again.

I changed sensor in bottom water trough to the left of the boost water heater element. I was tols this was the delime sensor true???

I did buy this machine USED about 1 year ago so if there are screens and filters that need to be cleaned please let me know where they are. or any other ideas. This maching was built 2004. I already replaced the pump and backflow preventer when I bought this machine the cemical sensor board that I disconnected when I bought it because it constantly was ringing and chemicals tested properly in the machine.. Many people told me to stay away from hobarts I should have listend. but I have to much invested now to get rid of it..

Also I encountered a problem that with my booster element burns through the electrical wire that is connected to the ellement IS element bad? drawing to much voltage? yes there is water in the trough when it is burnig through the wire.

    Mike

You can call me if you wan tto discuss real time if it is not against any rules

i got your # i don't think the rule prevent this .. at this time i am working a a model just like yours . (his motor is out ) the wires may just be bad / what to do is add a end piece about 6 to 8 in long or silcone range wire . this will withstand the higher tempt . .. the heater could be tested with a ohm meter for shorts or ground . mm best time to call ??

WE LOST OUR MANUAL AT WORK AND HOBART LXH DISHWASHER KEEPS SHOWING DELIME , HOW CAN GET THIS GO AWAY, THANKS

Use a commercial deliming agent (like Lime Away or LSR). Remove the rack from the dishwasher and close the door. Press Off to power down the machine. Next press and hold Wash (Delime) while pressing ON. Delime should show in the display. The unit will fill with water and then flash Add and Delime. Open the door and add the deliming agent according to the directions. (The sump holds about 3 gallons of water.) Close the door and press Wash (Delime). The machine will start the wash mode for 5 minutes and then do two rinse and drain cycles. Delime symbol will flash while this takes place. When finished, the power to the control will be turned off. Check the interior of the machine for lime deposits. If needed, repeat the delime cycle. If the delime program is interrupted before it is completed, then start the delime process from the beginning.

The manuals and other documents are available to registered users of the Hobart site here: https://feg.hobartcorp.com/CookieAuth.dll?GetLogon?curl=Z2FresourcecenterZ2Fdefault.aspx&reason=0&formdir=2 . The direct link is: hobart.co.kr/install_pdf/040.pdf .

The spec sheet is available here: http://www.hobartcorp.com/products/warewashing/undercounters/lxi-undercounter/ .

I hope this helps.

Hobart commercial under the counter diswasher LXIC Model Number 130016. DELIME light comes on every day at startup. Machine will immediatly run (in DELIME mode I think) for about 5-10 min and then get E4...

The machine is trying to tell you to delime it. After a certain number of wash cycles, the LXI dishwasher reminds you to run a delime cycle (instructions are on a label on the bottom of the dishwasher). Judging from your posting, it's been ignored for quite some time, so you may need to run multiple delime cycles, depending on how much scale is built up inside the machine on the probes, wash arms, rinse arms, drain body (though you can't see this part, heavy scale deposits will cause draining problems). So . . . . get some good strong delimer and run a few delime cycles (talk to your chemical supplier about delimer - don't buy some weak stuff like LIME-A-WAY off the shelf).

Once you've delimed the machine, your E4 code may go away. E4 is the dishwasher's way of telling you that it did not fill properly on the initial fill (when you first turn on the machine). More specifically, it means the dishwasher DID NOT SENSE WATER at the upper probe at the rear right of the tank (there are two probes back there, on one assembly, referred to as the MIDDLE and UPPER water level probes). The probe may be coated with lime causing difficulty sensing water at the probe, so a good deliming may clean the probe and fix the E4 problem (in fact, reach back to the probes and break off any heavy built-up lime/scale deposits before deliming). If the E4 code persists after deliming, watch the pressure gauge on the front of the dishwasher. If the gauge reads lower than the green area, you need to adjust or replace the water pressure regulator. If the E4 problem still persists, replace the probe assembly at the rear of the dishwasher.

The hobart lxih is stuck in delime.

To reset or clear delime message, on control board there are 3 buttons. from power off, drawer open, manget on door switch, door closed, hold PROG on board and press the ON key on keyboard. pressing select moves to next poption, up arrow increases setting. step through select until you see delime, settings for LXi are de for disabled, and 1 through 65= x100 cycles. rg if set at 5, after 500 cycles the message apears. To keep the settings and clear the message a delime sequence needs to be run precisely as described.

DO NOT MIX DELIME ACID, RINSE AGENTS OR OTHER ACID WITH BLEACH PRODUCTS, OR HAZAEDOUS GASES WILL FORM.

With machine off, remove rack , close door, press and hold wash/delime key and press ON. Delime will be lit on display, release wash/delime key, and let machine fill. you should then see ADD and DELIME on the display, open the door and add the delime agent following supplier's instructions precisely. close the door, press wash, delime will flash. After delime is complete power is turned off. Inspect the machine and repeat if necessary.
DO NOT LEAVE THE ACID IN ANY LONGER THAN RECOMMEDED.

E4 indicates water level has not reached top water sensor. Check for proper flow-water pressure to machine (15-25psi) and clean sensor in wash tank
