Griller not staying alight after lighting

The Thermocouple safety device needs replacing. The thermocouple usually has a pilot light deflector over it. Make sure it hasn't moved or fallen off, or rotted out.

Please always include full 'make model (what it is)' as first 3 words in every question.

Morning I need help please regarding my gas oven (Beko SCG7530). The problem is when i turn the gas knob on,(push and hold for say 10 secs)the oven works fine, but as soon as the knob is released the gas...

Sugar,
Sometimes it takes a minute or longer for the thermocouple to get hot enough to send the correct voltage to the main part of the gas valve to get it open & the burners to light. If after a few attempts of turning the pilot knob to off, waiting a couple of minutes and then going thru the lighting process, your problem is the thermocouple. Most repair companies will NOT install YOUR parts because of the liability & warranty issue. The best bet is to call a repair co & explain what the problem is & tell them to bring a thermocouple with them. Sears or calling your local BBB is your best course.

No manual

The light bulb is the oven light.
The snowflake with 3 raindrops is Defrost Mode (fan runs with no heat to reduce defrost time)
The 2 lines up top & down bottom is Traditional Cooking (heat from top & bottom elements)
The big circle with a fan is the Fan forced Oven
The small line at top only is the Grill Mode
The larger line at top only is the Double Grill Mode
The line up top with the fan underneath is Double Grill with Fan mode
The line on the bottom with fan on top uses the lower element with the fan for delicate dishes

The manual can be found on the Baumatic website - www.baumatic.com.au - select your product which takes you into another page & you will see on the left hand side a link to "View User Manual"

The pilot light for the oven went out.

Relighting Your Furnace's Pilot Light

furnace1.jpg - Turn off the gas at the main valve at your utility box - Wait five to ten minutes for gas fumes to waft away - Get a long match—yes, a fireplace match, not a standard match - Set the gas valve on your furnace to "pilot" - Press the red button as you hold the match to the pilot valve - Keep pressing the red button for 30-60 seconds so the pilot can heat the thermocouple. Release the button and see if the pilot remains lit - If pilot goes out, wait five to ten minutes and repeat the process - Once the pilot stays lit, turn the main gas valve back on - If the pilot light continues to go out, call a technician, who may need to adjust or replace your thermocouple or adjust your pilot
