NOTE: This mouse never came with any software in the first place.

To get the mouse to work again proceed as follows:
Open Control Panel > Bluetooth Devices>Select VPG-BMS33 >Bluetooth Settings>Options> place a tick in the "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer">Apply>OK then close the open window.
The mouse should now work.
If this does not fix the problem then try this:
Go to Control Panel click on Bluetooth devices. Select VGP-BM133 (your mouse) then select Remove Wireless Device. After it has been removed NOW Select Add Wireless Device ( your computer will search for the mouse) When it finds it and it appears in the window, select it and then select Next. The computer will load the drivers for it and after you close the window the mouse should work.
Note often when my mouse has stopped working it has been because the batteries were flat and all the above fixes would be to no avail.

I need instructions on removing the cover to replace the battry.microsoft wireless notebook laser mouse 7000.

  • Press the "button with the star symbol" while prying up the top cover of the mouse's body to replace the batteries. If the batteries have power, the LED on the underside of the mouse will illuminate.
  • 2 Plug the receiver component into an open and working USB port on your computer. Your computer should make a noise when the receiver is connected, and the system tray will show that you have connected new hardware. Some USB ports may not be compatible, so it is important to try several ports to find one that works.
  • 3 Press and hold the "connect" buttons on the underside of the mouse and on the receiver for several seconds to refresh the connection. An interrupted connection will cause jerky or inconsistent on-screen performance of the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000.

Pairing code for Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000

Not really a code, just first press button on top of your receiver and then the button on the bottom of the mouse. The receiver LED should stay green when they are connected. If this does not happen check that you are using IntelliPoint Mouse Software. See more:

The wireless mouse works but the laser 5000

press connect on the wireless device...let go and then within 5 seconds press the button on the bottom of the keyboard. Repeat the same steps for the mouse whther its working or not. The problem usually is that the keyboard and mouse are on the same "Wireless Channel" and only resyncing them puts them on a seperate channel, hope this helps.

    Mouse stopped working

If you haven't done this, turn the mouse over and press the reset/connect button on the bottom of the mouse. After you replace batteries it sometimes requires this to be done. If that didn't work, first press the receiver button, then the mouse reset/connect button.
    Hope this helps. Bud
