A:If your Logitech G9X mouse laser is not working, try the following steps:1. Make sure the mouse is connected to the computer properly.2. Try cleaning the laser lens on the bottom of the mouse with a soft, lint-free cloth.3. Try a different USB port on the computer.4. Uninstall and reinstall the mouse driver.5. Try a different mouse. If these steps do not resolve the issue, the mouse may need to be replaced.

Hadn't used my laptop and vx mouse for about 2 years. was fine when last used. now, nothing. threw in fresh batteries. cursor won't budge.

I guess you need to pair the mouse with the receiver once again. Logitech provides connection utility on their support site - http://www.logitech.com/en-us/428/3271?softwareid=4338&osid=14&section=downloads.
However, I would check that the battery connectors are still OK on the mouse. When you turn the mouse on, does the light come on?

It has stopped working; I can see the cursor on the screen but there's no response. I have rebooted, but it has made no difference.

I have the same problem. It worked fine for over 7 years now. Yesterday I put it into the charging device after I switched off the Mouse. Started to charge. In the moring I took it off and slide the Off button to On. The battery indicator shows full. Windows 7 recognize it but no mouse movement. I tryied 2 different computers (both with XP) and the mouse is recognized but not working. I tryied to look into the laser lens but no red light there.... I also tryied to put it into charghing the Red Status Lid for 1 second and after it goes all green.

What to do???

The cursor moves without my input on the wireless mouse "anywhere MX"

TURN MOUSE OVER check for lint or dust on or around the little laser light. takes 20 pictures a second and compares them to determine mouse is being moved. dust rweflects the light and makes it not worky so good

My mouse cursor wont move and the buttons won't click.

Try restarting your computer with your logitech mouse plugged. If you said you have successfully installed, the system will automatically detect your mouse.
