Re: i changed out a tv and dont know how to program...
If you have a 311 receiver or any single/solo receiver than you will need to put the new set on channel 3. If you a have a duo receiver try 60air or 73cable. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

I've had a few battles with Dishnetwork myself anfd the only thing you can do, if you want to keep the service is, 1 Pay a 15.00 fee for them to come out or, 2 Ge them o the phone and they will take you through a diagnostics with you which should end up with them sending you a new receiver in abox that you will put your old receiver in adn return it to them. I paid the 15.00 fee because I refused to go throuh the diagnostics over the phone. I've had mine replaced at least three times. Other than having to deal with them over the phone, I like the service and I had even bigger problems with Directv. If you already have changed your frequencies and that doesn't work, the only other thing you can try is pulling the piece out at the bottom of remote under where it says "dish Networks" and turn it over. The piece does come out. I'm pretty sure they will not let you out of your contract so you will end up with additional fees if you drop the service.
Hello,
Most tv's have a physical button on the front and it will either be labeled input or source-source select. If thats not the case on your tv, look for a menu button and try to navigate through the tv menus until you find tv input or source select. If that still does not work, you can use your dish 500 remote and if you already use that to turn the tv on and adjust volume, you can probably use it to change the input. To do this, select the tv mode on your dish 500 remote, and then press the source or input button until you get to where you need to be. Once thats done, make sure you return your remote to sat mode or you will not be able to control the dish reciever. Hope this was helpfull to you.
Thanks
To watch Dish Network in your room there a couple of different ways to do it. Unless that cable coming out of your wall is connected to a Dishnetwork reciever its useless. Now if the reciever in your living room is a dual tuner dvr than you can run a cable from one of the two outputs to your bedroom. In this scenario you can watch different channels at the same time. If it isnt a dual tuner then you can actually put a splitter on the cable coming out of the box to the tv(has to be on cable coming out of the reciever) and run it to your bedroom. In this scenario both tvs will show the same channel. In both cases you need a UHF remote(dual tuner DVRs come with one UHF and one infrared) that will allow you to change channels while in your bedroom. If you want HD programing on both tvs you will need to contact Dish Network to get a second reciever. its $7 more a month for a second reciever.
I assume that the HDMI works fine if you go directly from the dish receiver to the TV with either HDMI cable. And try it with a different source (DVD or x-box) in the same input port.
Take it to a Radio Shack there service centers can repair Onkyo in warranty. Most Onkyo receivers carry a two year warranty.
thanks for rapid comm.resolved issue .stb is a old version ,does not support hdtv ,changed to a newer version, everything worked fine.once again thank u
