You have to check all the voltages, that comes from its main power supply board, to its back light inverter board. These is one pin at the backlight inverter board; comes from the main board; which controls the back-light inverter to start and off. This voltage is generated at the main board, and send to the back-light inverter board, as control voltage. It will be best to contact any service technician. Measure the input voltage to back light inverter board, from the main power regulator board. If it is found OK, replace back light inverter board.

plug in a monitor in the side of the laptop if it shows up then the lcd is bad. Also try and reset the memory by pulling it out and then put it back in if not in all the wall nothing will appear on the LCD.

First you want to check and see if your back light inveter is not giving out or you can change both the inverter and the back light in the lcd.

Check the inverter first and replace as needed.

I would rate it a 3/5 as far as difficulty Just be gentle as your screen can easily be damaged by excessive pressure

Sounds like its either going to be a bad display or the inverter underneath the display is not providing enough power to the display to light up properly. Only way to troubleshoot it is to swap out the inverter and/or the inverter to designate the exact problem.
