Question about iRiver clix 2nd generation MP3 Player
I actually haven't bought a clix yet.. but i'm just very concern about one problem... can the player play avi. video files by just drag and drop from the pc without transcoding/ converting ? because most of my video files are in avi. formate... therefore this is a big factor to whether i should buy this player or not... thank you for helping!
Even though they may be avi files there are different codecs that may have been used to encode them. Since the specifics are a little too much to type here I have put a link to a faq on the clixhere! forum below.... they has all the specifics and can even help you if converting is needed. Clixhere!

The Clix 2 comes with software on a CD and one of the applications is "Movie Converter". I suspect it is capable of converting movies with different formats into a format that is acceptable for the Clix. However, I have not used it and do not know for sure. Someone else may be able to confirm this.
