Maybe the cpu fan is fubar - check that out.

That is your hard drive, telling you it is going to stop working in the very near future. Suggest you make backups of all your favorites as soon as possible. Use windows backup, it'll back up your pics, docs, email, and favorites for the Internet. An even better idea is if you can make an exact image of your hard drive, then you could copy it to a new hard drive and it would look exactly like yours is today. You would have to buy a third party software like Ghost or Acronis back up..my favorite is Acronis as it is easy to use and makes and exact image of your drive. Let me know if you have any questions.
