SOURCE: Upon starting up, HP Laptop dv6000 makes very loud

That is your hard drive, telling you it is going to stop working in the very near future. Suggest you make backups of all your favorites as soon as possible. Use windows backup, it'll back up your pics, docs, email, and favorites for the Internet. An even better idea is if you can make an exact image of your hard drive, then you could copy it to a new hard drive and it would look exactly like yours is today. You would have to buy a third party software like Ghost or Acronis back up..my favorite is Acronis as it is easy to use and makes and exact image of your drive. Let me know if you have any questions.

Dropped my HP D7 laptop. It slid out of my backpack from about 2 feet onto hardwood floor. On bootup, lights turn on for the keys and around the touchpad perimeter, and everything works fine with an HDMI...

You possibly cracked your screen or caused the ribbon cable to disconnect when you dropped it and just can't see what the error codes are saying. Is probably asking you if you'd like to start in safe mode with the beeps but you can't see it with a cracked screen or disconnected ribbon cable. Take it to a repair shop for a diagnosis.

My HP Laptop suddenly started showing vertical stripes around once a week and could use it anymore until I turned it off. on rebooting, I would hear a couple of loud beeps but the PC will not boot....

There are a couple thing youcould have been looking at. number one a virus(trojan) got into you machine.

Number two you mother board is starting to go.

Number three your video card located on the mother board is gouing bad.

Number four you hard drive is getting weak

The fan on a laptop always runs to keep the machine cool. Smaller spaces get hotter faster.

I think based on your decription it was a virus, make sure you protected. Back up all ou info just incase it is the hard frive is startig to fail.

Loud noise from speakers when laptop closed/standby

Hi there.
Your microphone is on, and when you close the lid it is closer to the speaker. It needs
a loud noise (like closing the lid faster) and it enters into a feedback loop.
We need to find a way to make the microphone not play back.
Try left clicking on the speaker icon in the bottom right of the screen, and click playback
options. Here mute the microphone, and see if it solves your problem.

Good luck

My Compaque laptop makes a loud buzzing noise when I turn it on.

if you are in warrranty call HP
or try to tap f11 when NoteBook starts ...and you get recovery manager....click next....you'll get system restore click yes ....and select a restore point manually ...select the date when it worked and click next and let it go thru.....

if that fails then do f11 again and click no on system restore and yes on recovery manager and click next and select without backing up data and do the recovery i.e. reinstall the whole OS

Hp laptop dv9500 noisy and loud fan ...

The sound you are hearing is probably the fan, This fan has a noisy bearing and will eventually lock up and the fan will stop spinning and therefore the CPU will overheat and shutdown.
The fan needs to be replaced.
