my acer aspire 4520 is giving me problems. whenever i try to boot pushing the power button all the indicators light up as it should then th fan would start running too.. then after that the fan shuts off and it won't boot anymore but the power light is still lit but there's nothing on the screen. it doesn't even reach the windows intro nor the system bios. i took off the hard disk and it was running fine on another computer. i know that there is nothing wrong with the screen as it lights up so the backlight is not busted or anything. i don't know what the problem is.
I faced this problem the problem is regarding to your nvidia cheap set service man told me there is no guarantee for this cheap set other wise you have to replace *********** board

This sounds like you have an internal issue either with the CPU or the systemboard. When a computer is turned on it will run through some basics checks. The core components needed to start a computer other than electricity are CPU, RAM, Motherboard/systemboard and Video. Usually when there is a ram failure, the system will still boot but will blue screen. If you have access to spare parts, swap out the CPU and test it. This will determine if the systemboard or the CPU is the problem.

Try this.
Unplug both AC ADAPTER and remove battery.
Press and hold POWER BUTTON for 30 seconds.
Plug in AC ADAPTER.
Turn on.
After log in, place battery in.

I have a acer aspire 4520. It is not powering up. When the power switch is pressed the hard drive and wifi switch light up for a fraction of a second but nothig happens at all. I can't hear the fan working. I have tried booting up with the battery pack and without it with the AC mains.I did try pressing and holding the power switch for 30 sec's and booting it. It did boot up, but after doing a normal shut down it has gone back to square one same problem all over again. pls help......
