I bought Toshiba L650-11f on August 03rd 2010,which has come with pre installed Windows 7 Home Premium,as i am not comfortable on windows 7 i have removed windows 7 and installed windows XP x(64) Edition...

> I am not comfortable on Windows 7

Toshiba designed the computer to work with Windows 7,
i.e., they wrote Windows 7 device-drivers for the Toshiba-specific hardware (video/audio/network). So, if such device-drivers exist for Windows XP, then only Toshiba's web-site will have them.

Also, note that Microsoft's "Product Lifecycle Policy" ended mainstream support for Windows XP on 14/04/2009, but "extended" support still is available, i.e., XP is swiftly heading to its "sunset".

Similarly, "extended" support for Microsoft Office XP will end on 12/07/2011, i.e., less than one year from now, and "extended" support for Microsoft Office 2003 will end on 08/04/2014.

In fact, after October 22, 2010, retail stores will not be allowed to sell Windows Vista.

So, if you want a supported operating system until 13/01/2015, then it's time to upgrade from 2001's "new" operating system to Windows 7.

Bite the bullet, and re-install Windows 7; you will soon be finding that any "new" software being announced will _NOT_ be supported under Windows XP.

I saved and edited my videos in windows movie maker at my vista, and the project was save as .MSWMM and from my vista I saved it in usb to transfer the file in windows xp, but unfortunately windows xp did...

Ok try formatting the usb drive under XP, put a small file on it, say a pic or something, then take it to win 7 & see if win 7 is OK with it, if OK, well then copy files and take back to XP.. ya should be able to "see" ya files now.

Toshiba a200/205 series Hard disk is toshiba mk1246gsx need compatible driver for windows xp I need to convert my OS from vista to XP

Well... this is common on newer laptops. It is due to the fact your HDD is SATA (Serial ATA) and Windows XP CD does not have the drivers needed to recognize it. The solution I use is a bit High Tech: to remaster your Windows XP CD including the drivers needed. Or, just settle to live with Vista until January, when Windows 7 will be available to the public. If you are not faint of heart, google this: nLite; with this program you can remaster your XP CD. (You need a working PC with CD-RW to actually do the job).
