I've got a Dell Printer 962. Recently it was printing horizontal lines all the way down the page. Now it has stopped that and is showing an error message "right cartridge incorrect" and won't print. It printed last night with the same cartridges (which are showing half full still). Now the only way I can get it to print is to take out that right(color) cartridge and print black only. Which is very faded without using the color cartridge. I have tried cleaning the cartridges, running an alignment page and taking them out and reinserting them. Nothing works. Help!

Hi Sobek70,

Please check if the cartridge is not dried out.

It will get dried out if you have not used that cartridge for certain period of time.

Try to replace the color Cartridge.

if it dont work............try to print any matter........
if it work then main matter u r trying to print may be in not a printer supported format

SOURCE: PDF files only print in landscape

Found it! The problem was that Adobe was set to print with page scaling set to Tile. Even though you see the preview as portrait (with page setup AND printer setup also in portrait), for Tile, it prints in landscape.
User said this fixed it.

Please do a printer check first. Print out a nozzle check pattern.
Trash and re-install the epson printer software. The driver for your product is downloadable fromt the epson.com site.

If this is a Dell 093-962 try the following -
  1. Turn the printer off.
  2. Reseat the toner mentioned in the error. For instruction on toner removal and installation for your specific system please check the User Guide.
  3. Once toner is re-seated, power the printer back on and check for error.
  4. If no error reported try printing a Settings page.
    • Press the Menu Button on the printer.
    • Highlight Reports/List and Select.
    • Highlight System Settings or Printer Settings (depending on your specific printer model) and Select.
    • The Report should now Print.
  5. If the 093-862 error recurs please try another toner from a working Dell Laser Printer of the same model or from stock (If available).
  6. If the error recurs with a working or 2nd toner please confirm that the Toners used are Dell Branded.
  7. If non Dell toners are used please ensure that you have the 'Non Dell Toner' option turned on.
    • Press the Menu or Info button on the Printer Operating Panel.
    • Scroll down until Admin Menu is Displayed and Select (If there is no admin menu go to next step).
    • Scroll down to Maintenance and Select.
    • Scroll down to Non Dell Toner and Select to turn it on.
    • Re-start Printer for the setting to take effect.
    • Detailed instruction for turning on the 'Non Dell Toner' option for a specific model can be found on your systems User Guide.
  8. If toners are Dell branded and error recurs please contact Dell Technical Support for further advice.

This seems to be an issue with the printer settings.
Please check the printer settings to make sure that it is not set to print one page only.

Dell AOI printer 962 showing error 2200 when trying to scan or copy. I have tried disconnecting and re-installing but have been unable to fix it. Can anyone help ? Mac

go to printers find dell aio 962, right click propertys, check 1st it is set to the right port, usb, paralell which ever the printer uses and that bidirectional support is enabled.same prop. page click advanced and be sure start printing immediately is checked then ok and try printing then. if no prob here then you may have a bad driver, a bad cable or a bad printer.

Reset the ink memory level after replacing cartridge

To get your printer to recognize the new cartridge; go to start - printer and faxes -right click on printer - preferences (printing preferences) -settings -load factory settings. Print test page Ctrl+P

Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

Color Printing Produces Pink Horizontal Lines

Hello we have had customers with this problem and this model printer We came upon this type of problem also exhibited the same lining when you did a nozzle check independant of the computer (not attached to computer and just using the internal head check print) This was a cartridge problem and after replacing the cartridge the problem stopped.
