Burner continues to burn only a portion of the DVD

i use ASHAMPOO burning studio 16+18 which gives you the choice to continue burning or burn something else on same disk.

try xp burner if that doesn't work your DVD drive is too old for W10

make sure that the dvd burner is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the dvd burner including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or
your drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program
you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd burner then plug them back in or
you might have to uninstall then reinstall your DVD/CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device
click start control panel administrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you can you can update driver,roll back driver,or
select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall
you might uninstall your burning software restart your computer then reinstall the burning software
or scroll to the bottom taskbar/toolbar right click select taskmanager applications also,processes you can see what

This is a very common error for computers to provide their users. Within the BURNERS settings page, you will need to select the burner PHYSICAL DRIVE that already exists. Is your DVD drive a Combo DVD ROM and CD Read/writer? If so it cannot burn DVD only reads DVDs and read and burn CDs.
If the program cannot find a DVD burner then either the burning software cannot support that model DVD burner ot the DVD burner is faulty.
To test the DVD burner, remove it and install it into another computer to test the burner to see if is faulty.

Try uninstalling it, delete the folder from the programes file and re-install it again.

Multi-Layer support means the drive can Read/Write a Dual-Layer discs.

Lightscribe means you can create a label on a disk.

All you need is a decent piece of video editing software.
Try Nero ( Has lots of options ) Or Roxio easy CD/DVD creater.

It depends if your burner can cope with + discs. If it is a - drive, then the answer is no it would work with + discs.
