Go to http://www.symantec.com and redownload the product also burn a copy on a blank CD you can get support if you get stuck. BTW wouldnt hurt to upgrade when your subsciption needs to renew I run 360 Premiere and 5 GB of backup, BTW I am a soon to grad with a Assoc in Info Technology I always try to answer in a professional manner this ones on me :-)

This is going to sound noob-ish...but I accidentally uninstalled Norton 360 and did not have a disc nor a downloaded file on my hard drive but I still had my product key for some reason. hmmm..that is interesting. go to pack.google.com and get their free downloadable virus engine checker, run that, then try installation again.

Norton Anti-virus will not launch
If you have access to another computer download avast anti-virus and malwarebytes anti-malware and burn to cd or use a flash drive. Malwarebytes will remove that PC Defender rouge anti-virus software and any other malware you may have,

If you don't have another computer you can download the files to try booting into safe mode with networking. This option should allow you to download and install the programs above,

If your able to download them run anti-malware first. Let t fix what it can. Then install avast anti-virus, when asked if you want to schedule a boot time scan say yes, then when asked to reboot say no and open avast and update it, When prompted to reboot do so.

I have several virus's detected including worms and trogen 22 files infected. i have Norton 360 version 2.0
Your Norton's anti-virus database if probably out dated. You need to update it and then start your computer in Safe Mode and run the anti-virus scan.
To get into Safe Mode:
Shutdown your computer. Then restart and hit F8 as soon as the video shows. then when you get the menu, select Safe Mode from the menu.
If you cannot get Norton's to update, download the free version of AVG Anti-virus and run it in Safe Mode.

I HAVE RESTORED MY SYSTEM AND REQUIRE MY NORTON PROGRAM DOWNLOAD FOR REINSTALLATION.
If you purchased the anti-virus on a CD-Rom, you shouyl be able to re-install it and use the key that norton gave you when you signed up and verified your software provided you weren't using an evaluation copy. (should have written it down). If you downloaded it directly from them then you should be able to go back, download the anti-virus software again and re-verify it.

Hi, if you want to install new norton anti virus you may delete all existing norton anti virus in the present pc and then install new norton so that no conflict your installation.

Norton 360 has the entire norton protection suite built into it. On top of the firewall, phishing protection, and e-mail protection it also has norton antivirus built right into it. So yes, you have to uninstall antivirus to install 360, but 360 just installs antivirus again. If you ever decide to go back to using just antivirus you can simply redownload it off their web site.
