Ok, I had the same problem of when you plug key chain into the computer, the display at first reads "PC Conect", then after about a minute, it sohws "No photo..Please connect to PC...Update Pictures.
Solution: I plugged it in to usb port and when it came up with "PC Connect", I pressed the 'M' button on the side. Then the display changed to read "PC Connecting", and the software came up on the computer monitor. Wha'la! Problem solved
Thank you so much! That's not what the instructions say to do (in that order). I was getting very frustrated... ready to take it back! : ) Glad I read your post!
OMG YOU JUST SAVED MY LIFE FROM AGGRAVATION!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!
I PUSHED THE M BUTTON & STILL NOTHING ON COMP. SCREEN. ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?

If you are having problems getting the Digital Solutions digital
photo keychain to connect to your computer, this fix is a simple one. After plugging the keychain into the computer USB port, wait a few seconds. Then insert a toothpick, or something similar, into the tiny hole located on the side just beneath the 3 buttons.
Inside the tiny hole is a reset switch. Use the toothpick to hold the switch down for 5 or 6 seconds, then release.
A few seconds after that the screen should show "Please connect to PC...Update
Pictures." Now press the "M" button and the photo keychain should function as advertised.
However, because all computer operating systems are not the same, after pressing the "M" button, some may see a "PC Connecting" message. If so, this means you will have to go into your computer (open "My Computer" and look at the list of drives.) It is easy to locate the DPFMate application and start the photo keychain software manually.
Good luck to all and I hope this information is helpful. Dean Terry

I did what ksmid said to do but it only loaded the drivers. After that when I pressed the "M" it would say "PC connecting" and then nothing.
Solution: What I finally did was to go into windows explorer and found where it was connected (It said: "CD drive E:") I opened that up and found the "DPFMate" application opened that up and problem solved.
Look for your device on start, my computer or on the task bar near the clock using the remove hardware wizard.
The "remove hardware safely" icon looks like a card with a green arrow above it. Look for connected devices that may be listed by generic names like removable disk.
If there is nothing on the usb port that looks like your device, uninstall all of the software and start over.
Uninstall the software. Restart after you uninstall. Turn off virus programs. Reinstall using the add new hardware device with Windows hardware wizard. Put the disk in when it asks.
Turn your virus program back on.
From the start bar, open "My Computer."
Double click the keychain; It may be listed under a generic name like removable disk F: then double click the ImageViewer icon.
With the software open, click on Load to view all
images.
If the screen is empty, no photos are stored in memory.
To add a new image into the Click Add Image
images have to be .jpg, .bmp or .gif
The device may also be available to use in control panel, printers and other hardware, and then click cameras and scanners.
Make sure that you put the keychain on a usb on the computer, don't use a router.
Its easy here's how: when you plug it in it will say pc connect simply press the (m) button [menu] and it will bring it up
Not a solution - more questions - so then with this particular keychaing does that start to charge the batteries then the first time? Mine is right now doing the same thing, so it says to charge for 6-8 hours before first use so do I push the "M" button to connect to my PC to charge it before I start to load pictures? I am tempted to go buy another brand of keychain. This also won't let you drag and drop pictures - have to do 1 at a time!!! Has anyone tried a different brand that is easier to use?
I had the same issue untill i realized that i had to press "m" several times then it beeped and my pc recgonized it.
How do i even put pictures on this thing i dont understand
Just got mine working. In the instructions that came with it it tells you to get rid of all of your drives except the CD/DVD drive for the keychain to function properly. Sounds mad, right? But its only temporary they are just disabled and can be be renabled after you restart your computer and you only need to do that if they don't restart by themselves when the coputer restarts. Here's how START> right click MY COMPUTER> HARDWARE>DEVICE MANAGER>DISK DRIVES> right click whatever drives are listed>uninstall>FLOPPY DISK DRIVES>disable. You will be asked if you want to restart, click YES. When your computer begins to restart plug in the Digital Solutions keychain the computer will recognize it now, then press the M button on the keychain and the software will come up on your screen. Hope this helps. Good luck.

when i plug in the device (keychain), my computer does not show that the device is connected. The display at first reads "PC Conect", then after about a minute, it sohws "No photo..Please connect to PC...Update Pictures". I can put a flash drive in the same USB port and it connects. I exchanged the keychain and the 2nd one is doing the same thing.
Thanks, but too easy. I did that. I also tried connecting, disconnecting the keychain multiple time as well as turning off my computer and the keychain multiple times and starting over. For some reason my Windows XP cannot find the keychain...it never shows up on any drive. Seems like either a keychain software design or software quality problem.
