It could be the door switch , ohm it out to check.
it could also be the temp fuse located by the blower on the duct , you can ohm it out as well.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Kenmore dryer model 86950100, when I push the start button it just hums and will not start.First time it did it I waited 1/2 hour then it ran fine for couple days and now it started again, just hums. I...

the humming is coming from the motor,if you can spin the drum by hand and it moves freely you need to replace the motor,if it's hard to move you need to take the dryer apart to see why it's hanging up,the overload resets on the motor that's why after a while you'll hear the hum again,if you hold the button to long you'll pop the overload

Kenmore dryer stop working after a lightening storm. checked breakers appears ok, but when you push start switch after setting timer i hear humming noise coming from timer but dryer will not come on.

It is very possible the humming is not comming from the timer, but the motor. check the capacitor on the motor. it should be a 5 or 8 microfarad cap .replace it. Dont try and run motor like that anymore untill it is checked.

Our Kenmore clothes dryer is not starting.

its sounds like you have a broken belt or a bad door swith open the door rotate the drum manually if it feels verry easy to turn that means your belt is broken if not you can check the wires then replace the door switck thanks from gilles
