I have a 94 Honda Shadow 1100. I have had it for 3 months now and now when I fill up with gas it wants to leak out from under the tank higher up, can't see where without removing the tank. When some of the gas gets used up on a ride it stops leaking and thoughts????

SOURCE: 2006 Honda Shadow won't start. Gas tank filled. Sat 8 mo. Gas leaked out but not into engine. No sign of external leak. into

1. Drain the gasoline.
2. Remove the carb bowl(s) and turn on the petcock to drain the fuel in the lines.
3. Clean out the carb bowl(s) and replace.
4. Refill with gasoline, add 1 oz of Seafoam fuel system cleaner (I'm not a sponsor, I just haven't found anything better) to each gallon of gas. This will stabilize your fuel as well as do a great job of cleaning out the carb(s).
5. Try to start it.

If it still won't start, begin the standard troubleshooting procedure by first pulling a spark plug and turning it over to ensure gas is getting to the cylinder. If so, replace the plug, hold the plug wire slightly away from the plug and turn it over to ensure a spark jumps between the wire and plug. If so, it starts getting complicated. Buy a manual for the bike if you don't have one and follow the troubleshooting steps there.

2005 honda shadow arow overflows all the gas wile running its a 750

it can be very hard to correctly trace a gas leak.. Start with the petcock at the tank - make sure its not leaking, carefully move your way down towards the carbs..

If it is indeed the carbs - you will have to pull them and clean (possibly rebuild).. Either the floats are flooding / sinking and not blocking the incoming fuel, or dirt has stopped the needle from sealing properly, or you might have an external leak on the hoses / orings etc..

It might be your tank overflow - is the tank completely full when this happens?

Where's the air filter located?

If it's like most honda bikes it is located under the fuel tank, my magna has two chrome nuts that hold the tank in place near the triple tree. Make sure the tank is at least half empty. take nuts off and lift tank. should have a rod to hold it up while you replace filter.

Is the only way to fill the coolant for my Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 is by the small cap near the passengers right foot peg?

I filled my radiator with coolant by removing the cover on the right side of the gas tank just behind the handle bars. When you remove the cover, you will see the radiator cap. Remove the cap and begin filling with the appropriate coolant.
