Apparently the Cooks kitchen appliances are sold (new) exclusively by J. C. Penney. I still have not found a replacement lid for your pressure cooker. I suggest you call J. C. Penney Customer Service: 800-322-1189. Ask about the availability of a replacement lid for your pressure cooker.

Hello -

So you need to find and purchase a replacement lid for your pressure cooker. That pressure valve which broke off the lid is VERY IMPORTANT.

Do you perhaps mean it is a Cook's Essentials pressure cooker? Cook's Essentials cookware (new) is sold exclusively by QVC.

First, check the user manual for your pressure cooker. It may contain a phone number or web address for replacement parts or service.

If you have no manual or there is no information on a source for replacement parts or repair service, and if I am correct in thinking yours is a Cook's Essentials pressure cooker, then, I recommend you contact QVC Customer Service and ask about the availability of a replacement lid for your pressure cooker. This is the link to QVC Customer Service:

Best wishes.

When I set the manual pressure cooker time, after the pressure builds up, instead of showing PO 06, it flashes end & goes into the warm cycle

If your pressure cooker is going into keep-warm, and you're certain that it's not pressure cooking (ie- the lid is not locked) then the recipe you're using in it does not contain enough liquid. Take a look at the pressure cooker trouble-shooter to see if any of these issues apply to you:

I can't take the lid off the pressure cooker, it's as though the locking mechanism doesn't has not disengaged

pressure use a 1/4 turn of the top against the bottom to undo the locks after the pressure in the pot has been released by removing the safety valve
any pressure at all in the pot effectively stops the lid from turning

How do i unlock my pressure cooker lid? its off the base

Probably it was put away with dirty valves and the pressure signal is still up preventing you from opening the lid. Simply use a toothpick to push down the metal bar that sticks up from the lid, then twist and open!

The recalled 8 qt ultrex ll pressure cooker model # 11302c will the lid come off on its own or does it just not lock while under pressure?

Halt, do not use this pressure cook. The lid is suspose to lock. This means the lid become a dangerous fly object if it came off under pressure, plus extremely hot boiling water and the contents of the pressure cooker. Beside possible dying from the lid, and if one survives the flying lid, one will be will scalded by the contents of the pressure cooker. Another pressure cooker manufactured in China. I am confused is the russell hobbs slow cooker a slow cooker or is it a pressure cooker i am looking for a pressure cooker not a slow cooker

Russel Hobbs makes both a slow cooker and a pressure cooker - confusingly in Europe they call Slow Cookers pressure cookers. The only way to really tel is if there is a special lid with valves and locks (pressure cooker) not a glass or plain lid (slow cooker).

I can't get my 17quart pressure cooker to seal. I was looking for an online manuel so i could find out why.

Take the rubber ring out of the lid.
Wash it with warm soapy water.
Dry it.
Oil it with vegetable oil.
Now do you see how the rubber ring has a groove around it on the inside? Push your thumb into the groove and work it around the ring, you're trying to spread the rubber V out.

Put it back in the lid and take it for a test run.

In the future store your cooker with the lid upside down on top, keeping it closed will ruin the seal.

If it still won't seal replace the rubber parts, you can get a kit for your cooker from presto.

Do you lock the lid while cooking?

make sure u DO NOT lock the clips while cooking, its not a pressure cooker. if you lock the lid the heat and pressure from whatever you are cooking causes an air-tight seal and the lid will shatter or the ceramic pot it self will crack...

E01 Error

The rice cooker lid has to be closed and the dial knob has to be in the lock position (turing on the pressure lamp) before cooking can start. There are two tiny wires sending signal to the main controller to indicate that the cooker is in lock position. The wires are vey tiny and they can break over the years as a result of opening and closing the lid many times. When these wires are broken, the main controller cannot detect the lock position and will give E01 Error.

We cannot open the pressure cooker

If it's one of the newer ones that the lid turns to lock, try re-heating to pressure. Then when it gets to pressure, turn off the stove. Let it cool, when the pressure pin in the handle drops to let you know there is no pressure inside. Try and remove the lid. Sounds like the lid is vacuum locked.
