Because of lack of information on this radio I will have to say its stamped the same way as the 9001z which is top secret because even midland doesn't have a manual on it . If you look at the board with a magnifying glass you will see the variables are marked with like vr-1 might say mod, if that's the one then turn it all the way to the left for max mod. You have to look at each variable and next to it it will have what function it does .

SOURCE: modulation on 1001Lwx midland cb

hello,
The limiter is what limits the modulation. Often times there is a pot that you can turn to adjust it. To get more power and swing out of your radio do this DM1 is the mod limiter RVM1 is the mod pot. Adjust this for maximum modulation. Spread the coils marked Lt5/LT12 just a little Spread LT7/LT11 a lot.

How do I increase the modulation on a midland 1001 z cb radio

There are microphones with built-in amplifiers that can be purchased to increase modulation on rigs that do not have internal adjustments for microphone amplitude. Another approach is to try and find the service manual for your radio and see if it has procedures for setting the modulation.

How th adjust peek modulation on a midland 1001lwx cb radio

VR 2 is the pot you are looking for an now you need a modulation meter. Speak into the mic at the volume you will be talking on the radio. One one one one while adjusting for 100 percent anymore an you will begin distorting.

Brand new Midland 5001z blows fuses immediately after its turned on. I tried the power cord on Cobra 25 that has the identical plug configuration and its Ok. I don't have the receipt as I got it a

bad final also check for any burned resistors in the area. If the final caused the resistor to burn the just replacing the resistor it would burn the new one also.
