Hello,
The limiter is what limits the modulation. Often times there is a pot that you can turn to adjust it. To get more power and swing out of your radio do this DM1 is the mod limiter RVM1 is the mod pot. Adjust this for maximum modulation. Spread the coils marked Lt5/LT12 just a little Spread LT7/LT11 a lot.
Regards, Tony

The coils are there to prevent harmonics on 54 mhz. Spreading them generates a signal on 54 mhz... which tricks a wattmeter into thinking the radio is more powerful.

I have a midland 1001lwx 40 channel cb and unless I'm next to anpther vehicle ( parked side by side) there is no signal getting out. I know it isn't the antenna , checked with second radio

Check the SWR. also those style radios have small vertical boards.. in them and they come loose from the main board and wont TX or RX when that happens..

How th adjust peek modulation on a midland 1001lwx cb radio

VR 2 is the pot you are looking for an now you need a modulation meter. Speak into the mic at the volume you will be talking on the radio. One one one one while adjusting for 100 percent anymore an you will begin distorting.
