Infrared i have got 2 cellphones which have infrared capabilities but i can't transfer data after some tim e it says infrared transfer data

Usually its been noticed that if ur trying to move data between cellphones of different brands it does not take place , seems to be some unspecified problem, but at the same time if you have a laptop computer the infrared connects just fine and data transfer is smooth. Also it is important to note that while xferribg data between cell phones or any infrared device it is mandatory that the infrared points are in constantantly touching each other or data xfer will not take place.it is not tlike the bluetooth.

if you dont want to use data cable or infrared then only one and simple method to transfer images from computer is to upload those images from mobile to internet via GPRS then download it on computer with that site where its uploaded.

How can I transfer photos from Nokia cellphone to my PC
If its a bluetooth capable laptop, then just enable bluetooth on both devices and transfer files as you generally do.
If your laptop is not bluetooth capable, download the latest version of Nokia PC Suite compatible with your operating system from the official website of Nokia and synchronize files, any kind of files!

2. You can also connect your phone via bluetooth. Adjust bluetooth device on your computer. On your phone bluetooth and easily connect your phone with computer. Now send and receive data from your computer and cellphone.

My c261 problem
HI there,

  1. You have to set both unit blue tooth configuration settings.
  2. Turn On the blue tooth for each unit
  3. Make or initialize pairing on the unit that will send the data.
  4. The other end(cellphone) has to accept the connection invitation from your cellphone.
  5. It will ask a password, you can input a 1234 or just leave it blank if you don't want to use a passkey.
  6. After you have done the pairing, select the file you want to transfer.
  7. Select Option >> Send >> Via Blue tooth.
  8. Select the paired cellphone you connected via blue tooth that you have DO on steps 3.

the infrared power of nok 6610i is not much power ful for transfering the big files because it is capable to send only those files which is in "kilobite" size, so this it is possible that u get the problem during data transfer form nok 6610i to another fone.

there are 2 ways that you can send your pictures onto your pc.
  • find a cellphone from a friend or a person who got cellphone with bluetooth and infrared. you can transfer the pictures from your phone to his/her phone using infrared. just be sure that his or here cellphone got bluetooth aswell. then after he received it upload the pictures from his phone using computers bluetooth or his memory card.
  • buy an infrared USB from an electronic shop then send your pictures using infrared from phone to your pc.
