Blinking the numbers F9ED - Whirlpool Ovens

Push clock button until numbers start blinking. Then using up or down arrows, set desired time.

Step 1 Locate the "Clock" button on the display. The display is located above the oven door. It clearly shows the time and has settings for temperature, time and cooking.
Step 2 Press and hold the "Clock" button until the time starts to blink.
Step 3 Set the time with the number pad. Ignore the colons and enter the number straight through. For example, if the current time is 10:08, just type 1-0-0-8.
Step 4 Set AM and PM by pressing the "#" button. Press "Start" to finish.

the light may be flashing an error code which is identified by the number of blinks between a pause. If two pauses and two different numbers of blinks, it is a two digit fault code like a 26 or 42 as examples.

that's a bad touch panel or key panel,the number you sent isn't the full model number off of the oven so when you call to order the part you will need that.if you try to fix this yourself make sure the power is off.good luck

if the clock is blank it's bad and you have to change out the clock assy. if that's your model number MEW5527B it says your part is
WP74009198 and it's around 260 dollars but this must be an older wall oven because nobody has it in stock,you can go here,put your full model number in and go to control panel and look up your computer board or clock assy. same thing

Try unplugging power cord or trip circuit breaker, to cut the power to the appliance, then wait one or towo hours for the oven to cool down completely.

If the door stays locked, then there is a fault, probably a faulty temp probe that had blown because of high temperatures generated on self cleaning, or a defective control assembly. In that case you will need to call a technician to take apart the oven and fix the fault.

Don't know why repairman couldn't order parts you have your model #. The model # is the JKP45WV1WW, The part # is WB26K5030 for the lock motor.
