Unfortunately the Zenith Products Group do not post their installation information. However you are able to send an inquiry/request to their Customr Service. See here:
The contacts in the outside push button unit may need cleaning. They do get dirty over time. If that doesn't solve your problem you can contact the Zenith Company, who is now is the manufacturer for tech service issues. 800-858-8501.
You'll need to remove the liner for the trunk to get to this lamp, which is mounted in a quarter-twist lamp socket which fits into the lens housing.
The pieces of the trunk liner fit together one over the other... so look around for the hold-down nut on the side you need to service, then the liner pieces come out one over the other.
If you have the skin (moisture liner), and you carefully removed it, you can use a good waterproof adhesive (tube type, unless you are very good with a spray can and can mask off areas you don't want the adhesive on) to the edge and hold it in place until the adhesive dries sufficiently. It's a touchy job that takes a bit of patience. If you don't have the liner, Honda service is probably the only place to get one. Some people simply don't replace it.
Hope this helps you.
To change front turn signal – open the hood; look in back of headlight; two white clips; pull straight up, and then whole headlight comes out including turn signal; it is all one unit; remove rubber cover, then you take bulb out of unit. Mechanism that bulb fits in will need to be turned clockwise (looking from the front) and pulled to get it out of the larger unit holding all lights. Be sure and put rubber cover back on before re-inserting the two white clips.
If it is a Kitchenaid brand, the liner is covered under full factory warranty for up to 5 years. (See your warranty guide page). I am the Svc Mgr of an Authorized service center and relayed to one of my customers this morning, that if they took photos after the repair was made and call customer service, they will tell you where to send them. If...and they will agree the repair is un-sightly, you get an exchange. I am not sure it will work with the Whirlpool brand even though they are in the same family ** all made by same company, Kitchenaid cost more and comes with a longer warranty.... hope this helps. I guess I should have checked it out before posting this. It was easy. It was just a matter of clamping the rails to the sides and front of the box, sliding the cover into the 2 slots in the front, and voila!
