Check with "Batteries+Bulbs". Their stores may be able to replace the cells or get you a replacement battery.

Freeplay S360 Need Replacement Battery Pack

I will give my info here and say that I -was- able to replace the battery in my Freeplay S360. I purchased two of the 2/3 AA rechargable NiCD batteries and soldered them together. Then I rewired it into the radio and voila! It works! Total cost: about US $4 Total time: about 20 minutes Now all I need to do is remember to use the thing every month or so, just to keep the battery in good condition.

Spring broken?

Solution #2 is correct. My Baygen Freeplay radio was running fast and mine had a broken belt. I could not find a belt on eBay. After hours of searching the internet, I fond a replacement belt at http://www.kenselectronics.com/lists/belts.htm I have the older large Baygen Freeplay radio without solar power and this is the belt that fit my radio... AV-SBS9.5 Replaces SBX9.5 & 1407-36 & SCX9.5 square 9.5 x .047" belt, Baygen Freeplay. Just search the website above... they also have a second size Baygen belt that might fit the newer Baygen Freeplay radios???
