Keyboard problems lenovo laptop

keyboard layout is as follows.

TOP ROW: QWERTYUIOP
MIDDLE ROW: ASDFGHJKL
BOTTOM ROW:ZXCVBNM

If you're saying you just can't see the keyboard keys, that should help. If it doesn't, I suggest getting a hold of a USB keyboard other than the malfunctioning one you have now.

This is a problem particular to Lenovo Ideapads. I just found the answer in the Lenovo forums. The fix is simple & quick:

It seems the problem of setting in your applications.

that program must be corrupt please remove it and reinstall it and make sure u have a very good ant virus on your system/u can scan first.dont forget to rate me if it works. thanks

Shift and Num Lock should remove number lock.

Your keyboard is faulty - either due to a mechanical failure or spillage.

This is pictures of a different brand, however the premise is still the same...





An easy repair - remove the top trim bezel (just under the screen) this will allow access to 2-3 screws.

Remove the screws, and tilt the keyboard out.

Remove the ribbon cable.

Install reverse of removal.

If newer BIOS doesn't help, - new keyboard.

The imbedded numerical keypad is on; At the top row of keys, there is a key with numLk on it. Press the function key, and the NumLk key at the same time and see if that fixes the problem. Good luck harvester3
