Hi there I have a spider bite on my neck, it bit me about 2 weeks ago. I have been using traxer or x-trax which draws the venom out on a daily basis. The area is not really getting better, it is still red and its almost peeling. I am currently sick and don't know if that might possibly be because of the bite, I am nauseas and have an aching body. I don't know if its just flu or if its because of the bite, it was black and looked poisonous, I have been looking at pictures and would most liken it to a brown widow or black widow without the red markings, but it definitely was poisonous as I am accustomed to seeing poisonous spiders. Could you please assist in regards to what I should do. Would you recommend a doctors advice or just carry on treating the wound etc.... please advise

Check where there is suction...is there good suction at the hose...at the back of the vacuum. Knowing where there is good suction will help you know where there might be a clog or any resistance. Bissell also has a fairly good customer support line...I believe the phone number might be on the vaccuum possibly in the back.

There should be another wire to which it attaches nearby. If you cannot find it, do not try to 'invent' a repair...get help.

SOURCE: Roomba Discovery

I read somewhere that you need to clear the software in case there is a glitch. To do this, take the battery out and then, simultaneously hold down the "spot" and "clean" buttons for 30 seconds. Replace battery. This has worked for my Discovery model.

My dyson 34, just purchased 3 weeks ago for a small area rug. Worked out of the box. I charged it and now it wont turn on.

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC34 handheld vacuum. It's unusual to hear you're having issues with the machine not running, but if you purchased it three weeks ago it should be well within our 2-year cordless warranty.

In order to help resolve the issue, we'd just need to talk you through some simple troubleshooting checks when you have your DC34 hand. You can reach the Dyson Customer Helpline by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

We'll look forward to speaking with you.

Seems like a loose connection ..

There's a mating plug and socket between the two halves of the assembly. When one of the body catches breaks, this plug is repeatedly rocked in & out, and the contacts wear away. It's available as a spare part: The bit on the brush housing is #5176, the female half is on the bag housing and comes with the internal cable #5217ER. These are the parts for the X1 and X1.1 - should be the same as the X4, but you'll have to check for yourself as I don't have X4 drawings. I usually find the female contacts can be squeezed together, and just replace the male half. If you're in the UK, Candor Services carry a lot of Sebo bits.
Of course, unless you can repair the catch to stop the rocking it'll happen again... The catch bar inside the bottom of the bag box is retained by some fairly weak plastic, but repairable. I use some of the low-temperature modelling plastic 'polymorph' to shape whatever has broken, by hand.
I repair a lot of these; hotel housekeepers just love banging them down steps, even when brand new....

Hi, I have a question, I just got my vacuum 3 mouths ago and it shuts-off?

Your new filter should last more than a week but you may have to clean it thoroughly after each use. One problem with vacuums that do not have a bag is the surface area of the filter is usually not very big so it does not take much fine dust to clog the pores of the filter. If air can't pass through the filter the motor will get hot and shut off.

Water in henry hoover motor HVR 200A

Chris, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you've already guessed it. You need a new machine. Personally, if I were you, I'd check into the small shop vac's, type of vacuum. Craftsman has a good one that I've been using for, wow, more years than I can remember now. I had it a long time I know that. I actually picked up a spare one at a garage sale last summer and put it up on a shelf for one my old one finally bites the bullet, but so far, it's still going strong. The wet/dry vac's have a float system in them that actually plug the bottom of the air chamber where the vac draws it's air from, when the water gets too high in the tank. The motor starts to race faster than normal and that's the tipoff that it's full. Dump out the tank and go at it again. Better luck this time.

I have a 2 year old Electrolux ergorapido cleaner that gets used daily for about 2/3 min, the blue light on the stand comes on when the cleaner is put on to charge but fades after about 5 min & the...

No, not worn out batteries.
For my experience, if the batteries were worn, they would charge with the blue led being on and after that, the vacuum wouldn't hold his charge. just that.
This is a different problem. Check the contacts between the charging station and the vacuum, mines got bent a bit and stopped making contact. This has happened twice and just fixed it about 30 min ago. That is why the led first lights and then goes off, there was just a brief contact between them.
Nice vacuum, very powerful and handy but maybe it is just poorly made as it is engineered in Sweden but built in China.

What is the life span of a dyson fusion turbo belt. We changed the belt 2 weeks ago, is this common occurence. It is used about 12 hours a week.

That is alot of use for this vacuum. Its only designed to last using a couple hours a week. Check the condition of the brushroll, see if its spinning freely. also check the motor shaft for any play. Im assuming you use it daily, probably a few hrs a day, the belt is getting a pretty good workout from the constant running and is probably heating up and stretching or snapping.
