Make sure you are not moving. This way it can triangulate better. Wait for it to recognize at least 3 satellites. Then cruise as you wish as soon as it is synced with the satellites.
Also, be sure that you are on an open field with minimal aerial hindrances.

Your problem is normal to all GPS devices. It does take time to acquire satellite signal.

hope this helps!

Updated unit and still acquiring satelites is showing, what can i do?

If your unit is still acquiring satellite, then it means the signal strength is weak, try to get it outside where it can be facing the sky directly so it will be able to acquire satellite. Once you just update your gps receiver, it seems like it is brand new and when it wants to first acquire satellite, it might take longer to do so. But if it has access to the sky directly, it should take about 3 to 5 minutes to acquire.
If your unit is indoor, it may not acquire satellite, even if it is close to the window, it will not, but if it is outside, then it will acquire faster.
Check if you have any protective coating on your windshield or electronic devices which interfere with the unit from receiving signal from the satellite. Try to see if your gps receiver can use an antenna, then connect one to it and your gps will acquire satellite.
Try to reset your gps first before trying any other solution for the unit.

Garmin c330 says trouble tracking satelites, not acquiring signal. what to do?

If your StreetPilot c300 or c500 series device is no longer acquiring satellites please read the article linked below to ensure that this is not being caused by something in your environment:

Why won't my unit acquire satellites?

If after reading the above article your unit is still having problems, please ensure that your unit's software is up to date. You can do this by using our WebUpdater® program.

If you have tried all of the above suggestions and your unit is still not acquiring satellites, you can perform a master reset by doing the following:

Note: A master reset will erase all waypoints or favorites and will restore your unit to the default factory settings.
  1. Start with the unit powered OFF and unplugged from power.
  2. Touch and hold the bottom right corner of the touchscreen.
  3. Power the unit ON and continue pressing the screen until a new message displays, "Do You Really Want To Erase All User Data?".
  4. Touch Yes and go through the set up again.
Take the unit outside and let it set with a clear view of the sky for 3-5 minutes to acquire satellites. If the unit still does not acquire satellites after this, please contact Garmin Product Support.

Won't acquire satelite

I had to try this several times before the reset screen appeared but it worked. With the unit unplugged, press your index finger on the very bottom of the right hand side of the screen and power the unit on. When it comes on release the power button. Then answer the questions. Say "yes" to reset. My updated maps were still there but my address' were gone. No big thing. I tried using my thumb but it didn't work. I guess it was too big, had to use my index finger. I went outside and it acquired the satellites within minutes.

My Garmin c330 has difficulty acquiring satellites in my new 2009 Camry XLE. Does it have something to do with Bluetooth? Does it interfere? Ever since we bought the 2009 Camry XLE in June, the Street...

The C330 does not have bluetooth capability. Regardless, this has nothing to do with the unit's ability to acquire satellites. Nor should the type of vehicle you purchased, unless the unit is unable to receive due to some feature, like something in the windshield, which is preventing the unit from receiving a proper signal. Does the unit work outside the vehicle?

No signal

You will have to leave the unit out in the open so it can 'see' the satellites. It might need from 20-30 minutes to acclimatize itself to the new location. It is set at Kansas because that's where the manufacturer is, so that is the last recorded satellite signal.

Garmin c330

Some automobiles have a metalic coating on the windshield. You will brobably need a remote antennae to use the GPS in this car.
