Is your CD dirty or does it have any cracks? It might just be the problem. Otherwise, it could be corrupt game data. Clean the disc, if it still doesn't work I'd try deleting the game utility data and re-downloading it. Hope this helps in some way or another.
check for scratches on the disc. the disc is probably scratched or cracked where the saving element is and you should get it repaired or get a new one.

I had the same problem that you have with happy feet. You'll want to take it to play n trade and they clean it. It should solve the problem. The other is broken. IS the tape loking around the cd broken or cut in any way, that would cause it to load slowly and cause it to load really slow.
With the power turned off, open the DVD Player, and
then open the top where you load the DVD into the player. Locate the
laser lens
and notice that the laser is attached to a transport assembly that
moves the laser
diagonally outward in a slot. 1. Slide this assembly outward to the end
of its track. 2. Slide the assembly back inward to the closest inward
position. 3. Repeat the process of sliding the assembly outward and then
back inward.4. Put in a music CD and let it play all the way through.
This helps to calibrate the laser head assembly movement. When the
music CD is finished playing. 5. Put in a DVD, and you should have a
working unit
again This is a factory solution from Mintek that was given to a
customer who ask for help with the forever loading disc problems. This
solution may work on other models of portable DVD players. Most
portable DVD players use this type of transport mechanism. Try this
solution it might work for you.
There are multiple reasons why this could be happening. The most odvious would be the disk but you say that it looks fine. Next i would try to reset the xbox hard drive cache which involves a couple steps. "To perform the function, access 'memory' in the system blade, and then highlight the hard drive. Now press: Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X. The following message should appear: "Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?"" After doing that does it improve the load times in the game? If that doesn't help it is most likely either the drive or the saved game. To test the drive try playing another game. If that works fine and loads at the normal pace then it is your saved game might need to be deleted. (If you have or can get ahold of a memory unit move the saved game to that and then delete it from the hard drive and test it. Afterwards you can then move it back over.) How that helps.
TRY CLEANING YOUR LASER LENS with canned air and clean the rubber surface of the drive motor with rubbing alcohol applied to a microfiber towel this reqires removal of the cover
