Does your monitor light up, if so, swap the lead into the tower and if it still won't turn on then you know it's not the lead.
It could be the power supply, you could try swapping for a known working unit to check.
If still won't start, then unplug everything from the motherboard (except the power supply) and turn on. It should start making lots of beeping noises. If it does, replace each plug in turn till it doesn't then you know what to replace. If it doesn't, it's probably the motherboard that's faulty.

Proview monitor, model 900P, product PL913s. I have it hooked up to computer and to power source, but can't get monitor to turn on. Something more needed beside the "power" button on right?

  1. Check the power cable: Make sure the power cable is properly connected to the monitor and to the power source.
  2. Check the video cable: Make sure the video cable is properly connected to the computer and to the monitor.
  3. Check the computer settings: Make sure the computer is set to the correct display settings for the monitor. You can typically do this by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "Display settings."
  4. Check the power source: Make sure the power source is working and that there is no problem with the outlet or power cord.
  5. Check the power button: Make sure the power button on the right side of the monitor is not stuck and is functioning properly.
  6. Try a different cable or computer: If possible, try connecting the monitor to a different computer or cable to see if the issue is with the computer or cable.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a problem with the monitor itself

Computer not power on

Computer is not working. may be you should check all the cable is working or not ,one by one, and then check the Power Cord again.
All the power to the computer is fine. then it 's not the power supply's fault. So you must check the internal hardware such as: harddisk, motherboard, processor, memory etc.

Gateway desktop

check at any other power socket or plug any other working equipment on the same wall socket to check if the power is ok in the wall socket
if all ok then either your power cord to the computer is not properly plugged in the computer or the computer power supply may not be working.
you may then require technical assistance of computer mechanic.

No power to computer. Outlet is good. Power cord is good.

Try to do a power drain first by unplugging the piwer cable and then press and hold the power button for ten secs.after that plug the power button again then try to restart the machine.check for any indicators that the computer is getting power like sound coming offf the computer or if the cd/dvd drive is opening, check any lights on the tower or if the fan is running if not then you might need to have the computer checked.Power supply or the motherboard needs to be replaced. If the system is still under warranty then you can call your manufacturer for support.hope this helps...

My asus a7n8x motherboard based computer won't switch on - I press the power up button - and... nothing!

First try switching the power cable that goes from the power supply to the wall switch. You would be surprised at how many times that is the case. If you know for sure that power supply cable is good, You possibly have a bad power supply. You can purchase these for about $40.00 at most of your computer stores. But before spending your money on the power supply, make sure that the switch that turns on the computer is not bad. a- check power supply cable b-check computer on/off switch c-check power supply. Good Luck
