Started when my wife leaned against the door when the washer was not running and pressed the Cancel/Drain pad. It started the Cancel/Drain cycle and she opened the door because there was nothing to drain to stop the cycle. Has not run since. This is what happens-Door open; Shut completely; Push Start/Resume once; Normal Wash light lights; Push Start/Resume second time; Start light comes on for one Beep and goes out but the Beep continues for 15 times and then all lights go out and the Beeping stops also. Nothing happens. Any help? Thank you.

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.

I suspect for either of these units that the timer control boards are bad.
SOURCE: Kenmore dishwasher Lock On light flashing
holding the button for four seconds will not do it, you have to hold it until the light stops blinking and
will go back to normal, normall takes more than four seconds to unlock the unit, this is something
the sears repair techs know becouse the are trained on all this things but, they will not share this things, becouse thats how they make money

Please confirm your model is the same as the one shown in this manual.
i am unable to find any mention that "start pad" -- means door switch problem.
You can check out the door switch by getting to the right parts using this diagram. Door switch is item 12.
Please post a comment to confirm what you found.

Hi
If light is blinking then it may be an
issue with heater circuit, door switch or the thermal fuse, please reset the power to
the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error.
If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing
this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air
Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub,
energy saver dry or High Temp Wash-Heated Dry-High Temp Wash-Heated Dry.
Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button
and allow it to completely drain and reset. If this doesn't work then it's an
issue with the thermal fuse located on the control or the door switch that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post
back if you need more information.
