I had the same problem but once I installed these two could find the drivers it needed. You can also go to the asus website and search for the model name of your laptop.

I have another problem: after install win7, the batery not charge.
I bought the laptop with Vista, but I installed XP, now installed Windows 7, everything is working perfectly but not charge the battery, I've tried everything: calibration, tested various power plans, I ended up buying a new battery but no result . I think it must be some kind of driver or change something in the BIOS that I lack despite having returned to install XP and Vista and battery re-charging without problem. if you can help me send email [email protected]

FIRST FIND OUT IF YOUR LAP TOP HAS BLUE TOOTH CAPABILITY, IF IT DOES MAKE SURE ALL DRIVERS ARE CURRENT AND BLUE TOOTH IS ACTIVATED. YOU WANT TO PAIR THESE TWO TOGETHER. MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE AND LAPTOP ARE BOTH ON AND LOOKING FOR DEVICES. GOOD LUCK

Download the drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure you select the model of your laptop and the XP or Vista version of the drivers you that require and it matches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: -

update your driver installer all the mother board of the laptop, if the windows is windows vista download the installer from www.acer.com to get new drivers for blue tooth.
If windows xp is using as well download from acer.com.good luck

Uninstall the software and remove the bluetooth dongle. Reinstall the software and DO NOT connect the hardware until the software asks for it.

You should be able to turn on blutooth from there.

check if your device is enabled, you can do this by ---
right click my computer..-> properties--> hardware tab--> device manager --> right click on the blue tooth icon and clcik properties. --> check if enabled..

if it is enabled check if bluetooth is enabled at startup { type msconfig in RUN in start menu, click startup tab..check if it is enbaled in startup}... or else you have to manually switch on bluetooth each time u intend to use... hope it helps.

Sounds like another Vista Bug, i would check the HP site for this issue and if its under warranty, contact HP. If you have alot of Blue tooth devices hooked up, it may be that its trying to use another device in its place or the signals are getting crossed, im not positive.

Its like when you have to many network drives all hooked up and you plug in a USB device, Windows pops up those anoying bubles saying its detected, but in My computer it doesnt show.

So bassically you have to right click my computer, manage, disk management listed uder storage, right click on the device or drive and change the drive letter to something like " W" or " Z" or anything not in use.

It may be a siomilar case with your bluetooth, youo may have to much stuff connected. Try redoing everything like you have so many other times before, and then limiting how many bluetooth devices you have connected at the same time. see if theres a difference.
