Remove those 2 screws attached to the top of the lint chute. Then grab the back and release the top in front on each side. Then remove the front and get the drum out. Here is my crappy video:

SOURCE: Kenmore dryer

Take the filter out and remove those 2 phillips screws on the top.
Take the back off. Get the screws out the filter housing.Wiggle the housing over enough to remove the object.

SOURCE: Lint fell off trap and down into dryer chute.

for the most if you want to clean it it will take you a while, depending on your model, disconect the unit from the power outlet first, from the back panel remove about 6- to 8 screws an then you will see the inside back panel expose to be vacumm, you'll see the back panel of the shoot that runs behind the dryer, take the i think 4-5 screws an vacumm it, i dont think is going to hurt your machine if a little fell in there, a quick way is try to remove the exhaust tube off the back an insert the vacumm cleaner, to clean the tube going out of the house you can use a strong shopvac, to **** it in or a leaf blower to push it out ...........good luck!

SOURCE: it sounds like something has fallen down the dryer

I am guessing this is a kenmore/whirlpool dryer simply because of the problem. Yank out the filter, remove the screws on the top of filter housing. Use putty knife to pop top and then remove front. I have photos and manuals HERE

I have a roper dryer. I took it apart today

Remove all duct work connected to this dryer. Clean thoroughly. You will find amass of lint inside of it causing your problem. If not the moister sensor is not working properly and needs to be replaced.
I do hope you will find a clogged vent tube for it is easier to clean the tube than to replace the sensor. The sensor is a fail safe part. It keeps the dryer from catching on fire when the lint tube is clogged up

How do I find the lint filter on my roper top load washer?

Washers normally don't have a lint trap. dryers normally have them and they are normally in bottom by where the door opens or ontop of the dryer.

Intermittant buzzing vibration like sound when drying.

Check your lint filter may have lint filter alert.

Roper dryer wont start when i push the button model no. rex3514pq

The first thing to do is check the vent for lint buildup. Then remove the rear dust cover and change the fuse.

Cleaning lint

Your Roper dryer is made by Whirlpool, there is no reason to clean lint from around the heater, very little lint collects in that area. Every once in a while you can take the front off by removing 2 screws from under the lint screen, then pry up the top and there are 2 screws that hold the front on inside facing out. After removing the front you can vacuum inside below the drum.

Roper Dryer Won't Turn On

2b3eba2.jpgThis fuse mounts on the rear blower housing. If lint builds up in the dryer this puppy will melt and shut down the dryer door circuit. It will be just as if you opened the door. Simply replacing it will get the dryer going again but failing to properly clean out the dryer will result in more fuse failures.
