The cintiq works fine when it's the only monitor connected and my main monitor works fine alone but together neither monitor works. Both show the boot process but after the windows logo the cintiq says "no sync" and goes to sleep mode, my other monitor just shows a solid black screen. I've tried with each recommended resolutions of the monitors with no change. I've also tried all trouble shooting in the cintiq booklet. I have a Powercolor HD6450 Radeon video card which supports dual monitors and has up to date drivers. The Cintiq also has up to date drivers. The other monitor is a Dell E771a This is a desktop computer. As I said, both monitors work fine solo but neither works past the boot process when both are connected. Thanks for your time and help.

under the calibrate tab in the wacom tablet properties window there is a drop down window with a list of monitors. Change that to the Cintiq

Hey guys,
I have posted the solution to this problem (or my version of a solution) elsewhere on this site - but here it is again, just for you!
I had a similar problem with my cintiq 12WX!
The way i did it was by going into CONTROL PANEL
(please note i am using XP windows), then into DISPLAY, then into the
last tab on the right aka SETTINGS. Once in SETTINGS go into the
ADVANCED section, then click on the DISPLAY tab. In here you should
have 3 things - monitor, panel and tv. The tv bit is irrelevant. Look
at the MONITOR and PANEL tabs, if your wacom IS set up correctly when
you click on the button (it is a circle with a line inside it) on the
title (it will either be greeny/turquoise or red). If it is red, click
it and the same button on the panel title will turn green aswell. Below
the pictures of a computer and a laptop there should be 2 buttons that
are the same for each. Currently, my almost working cintiq is set to
having the button with two squares on it under the heading of 'MONITOR'
and the button with a circle is on under the section entitled PANEL.
If this doesn't work I dont know what to suggest.
Hope this helps.

I had this same problem and just had to go into my system preferences on the imac and select display and then select/check the mirror monitors and now it is on sync-hope that helps! After I did that though my color is off on the cintiq so I am looking for suggestions on how to fix it as the calibration did not fix the problem.

HI, I've had a similar problem. This solved it for me. Connect the cintiq first to a dvi to vga adapter, then connect that to apples vga to mini display port adapter.
worked for me so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
