If all the connection and power supplies to instrument cluster are ok,I suspect that the speedometer or instrument cluster is faulty but before you replace it, make sure the gear inside the transmission that drives the VSS is in good.

My 1997 Honda Accord EX speedometer is not working 95% of the time. Is it the sensor that needs replaced?

Yes, most likely the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). Not too hard to do. It's on top of your transmission, kind of near the back of it.

Speedometer is not working on a 1995 Honda Accord EX? Trying to replace VSS but cannot find it?

This is from a 94 Accord; should be the same. Not a great pic., but I think you can figure it out from this:

Do you know where to find the main speed sensor on a 1996 hoda accord ex

It should be on the back of the transmission, almost directly under the throttle body. If you want to get rid of it, just unplug it, but your speedometer and odometer will stop working.

94 Honda Accord with stopped mile counter

You will need to pull the speedometer out and have the odometer (u call mileage counter) repaired, the little drive gear that comes off the speedometer to operate the odometer has failed or broken.

I have a 1994 Honda Accord LX sedan and the speedometer just stopped working. My mechanic just put in a transmission that he bought from a junk yard. How do i fix this problem?

I have a 99 accord and my speedometer and odometer did not work. The problem was the VSS vehicle speed sensor. The VSS is located on the transmission. Once I replaced it everything worked fine.

1994 Honda Accord

try resetting the trip meter. if that doesn't work you need to replace the speedometer head. i have seen this problem a lot especially when the 94 accord was new and replaced a few speedometer heads.

Flashing green s on the dash

A green flashing "S" is similar to a check engine light. It is telling you that something in or on your transmission is not functioning correctly, such as the speed sensor or shift control solenoids. If it starts flashing and the speedometer stops working or the transmission shifts weird, take it to a mechanic.
