The basket / inner tub is actually what you see when you look in the unit. The inner tub connects to the transmission and sits inside the outer tub. Unless you take the whole top off and remove the inner basket, it is almost impossible to clean the outer tub. You can try to use the oem cleaning method and this is to run it with no clothes, on the hottest setting with one cup of bleach in the water.

I think the water inlet valve is nearly stopped up with sediment in the screen filter where the supply hose screws to the valve.Cut the water off at the hose and disconnect and look for the screen. The hot water usually doensn't do this because the water has time to settle everything out while it's in the hot water heater.
Does freezer cool like the cold food section? Did this suddenly happen, and frozen food began to thaw? Most freezers control the cooling in the cold food section. The freezer must work fine before the cold food section will work fine. Let us know more, Thanks JT
