SOURCE: My Soyo DYLT032 has power but no picture or sound

Long story short:
Had the same problem with my Soyo.
Thought it was the power supply board problem that everyone else was reporting.
ordered one.  Plugged it in.  Did not work.
Inspected the Main/Logic board and found what looked like a black button that could be depressed.  It is located to the right of main processor on the board.  You can't really miss it.
With the TV plugged in, I pressed the suspect button.  The TV made a buzzing/clicking noise for a few moments and the stuck blue illuminated power button faded away.
Curious by this, I pressed the power button and low and behold the TV comes to life!
Looks like I found a "reset" button which seems to have fixed my problem.
Thanks Soyo for not bothering to mention that such a button exists.
I hope the rest of you have the same good luck.  In the event you are still in need of a power supply board, email me.  I have a spare now it seems.  ;)

I just bought a new motherboard for my soyo MT-NI-DYLM2286 computer monitor and after I installed it I turned it on and got a white/pink screen for about 1sec then it shut off and the power light started...

The backlights lamps should stay on even if the LCD panel section is bad. It sounds like you have to check the power supply voltages, caps, inverter circuits. Bad lamps can glow pink instead of white glow.

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

Soyo 32 '' tv

First place to look will be the power supply module, look for blown fuse, burnt parts, bad capacitors.

Please post back what you find when you open up the TV.

Soyo 32" won't turn on

The problem is the capacitors on the power supply board. There are two of them, the rating is 220uf - 250v - 105C (M). The back side of the capacitor says V9A PET. You need to remove the board, make sure the capacitor is drained, (you can do this by placing a screwdriver across the posts) Use a soldering iron and remove the capacitors. The only place that has replacement parts is at www.mouser.com, Install them, make sure the polarity is correct, re-solder them back into place. Re-connect the board and it should power back up correctly. Good Luck. Steve

42 inch LG Plasma TV - Lost picture

Most likely what happened is one of the capacitors went bad. When a capacitors goes bad it produces a popping sound. This could be an easy and cheap fix if you find the bad capacitor or capacitors. The bad capacitor will have a bulging top most likely on the power board but could be anywhere.
