My battery died and the shop jumped it and recharged the battery. now the radio won't work
The first thing to check is the fuse for the radio. More likely, though, is that the radio needs a security code to turn back on. A local dealership may be willing to give you this code if you go there with your title. There also websites that offer radio unlock codes. Does the radio display anything when you start the car or when you try to turn the radio on?

Sounds like you have an anti-theft feature in the radio...only way to get it working again is to go to a dealer with proof that you own the car and they can get the code for you. Or, if you bought the car new, or have the original paperwork, it should be written down there. Most dealers I know do this free but recently, I heard that some are now charging for this.

To avoid this happening when changing a battery, most parts stores sell a small device that plugs into the lighter that maintains radio memory power while you are working.
Also...charge and check your battery...If it died that fast, it may be close to being in need of replacement!

Sound like a starter go to bad or died. You can do a few tests to diagnose a starting system problem without
any tools or measuring equipment. Turn on the headlights and start
cranking. If lights go out, you probably have a poor battery cable
connection that is impeeding the flow of current. Start checking battery
posts and battery cables for tightness and corrosion. A very thin film
of oxide between the terminal and cable clamp can choke off most of
current. Clean battery posts and cable terminals. Make sure all
connections are tight. Also check connections to the starter and
solenoid and engine-to-chassis grounding cables.
If headlights continue to shine brightly and nothing happens, voltage
is probably not reaching the starter. Usual suspects here include a
problem with the park/neutral or ignition circuit switches.
If lights go dim and the cranking action is sluggish, first suspect a low battery.
Starting problems especially in cold weather on a system that worked
well last summer can often be traced to a weak battery. Sub-zero
temperatures can cut a battery's amperage output by more than half.
Check out the battery condition. If the battery checks out okay, look
for a locked or dragging starter, a starter with high internal
resistance, worn brushes or open circuits in starter's windings or

The reason the battery light is on is that the charging system voltage is below the battery voltage, this means the charging system is not working correctly, since you already replaced the Alternator for I assume the same problem, unless you got a defective rebuilt (which is poss if bought from Autozone or one of the other discount parts stores) the charging system problem is not the Alternator but lies elsewhere in the electrical system. Use a volt meter and check the voltage at the battery cables with the engine running at high idle (at least 1000 RPM) the voltage should be at least 13.4 to about 14.2 Volts DC. This is also most likely the cause of the light that is on that you say looks like a pump due to the low charging system voltage. As to the radio it is in theft lock, this happens anytime the battery is disconnected, you will need to enter the unique security code for your radio, if you are not the original owner this may be a problem, as the little card with the code and the instructions to enter it often gets misplaced. You will likely end up at the dealer who can access the Chrysler factory computer and retrieve the code, there may be a charge for this.
