Hi,
when i turn on my TV, i hear a clicking noise and at the same time ,on the screan, i see some horizontal black lines flashing .maybe 2-3 lines. not always at the same place.. so that happen only during 5 sec and after it stop.
this problem happen only when i turn on the TV, but not every time but the majority of the time.
i called a repair guy and i don't remember what he did but he putted a lubrifiant on something. and that worked! during maybe 1 year, that problem was gone.... but it started again!! i called him again and that time, he changed that piece ( sorry, i don't know the name of that piece...). and that worked too!! during 1 year again... and the problem is starting again...
before calling the guy again, i want to know if that can be solve for good or that problem will always come back after? that problem can be dangerous? if I wait too long, my tv can blow off? LOL..
thanx!

What you are hearing is the high voltage arcing a bit. This is often caused by dust buildup on the high voltage components, & is not harmful. A good cleaning with compressed air will cure it, but this is not a do it yourself job, because dangerous voltages are present inside any TV.

Hello melanie Hi, in my experience as a TV technician, that would usually be a shorted part, the horizontal output transistor, that part powers the HIGH Voltage section. Very Lethal, the power supply detects this bad part which in turn makes the unit go in standby so as not to damage the TV much further. mMy advice is go seek a tv tech to repair the part.

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Here's the instructions to replace it for a samsung ,it works like your mitusibishi:http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php The ballast has a sensor that detects when it's not able to power the lamp or if lamp is not responding,it will flash red when that sensor detects that. When you say: "it began to roll like the vertical and horizontal hold did not work
then the sound went out" Do you mean you where getting horizontal lines? If you did that could be the Dmd.his is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Basically the light of the lamp goes through a tunnel that carries a color wheel(rotating disc with a gamma of colors that creates the colors on your tv)then the light of the lamp goes through the DMD board which is a chip composed of around 2 million pixels that creates the images and colors. When it starts to fail it will create black bars, pixelation, color distortion or white dots on screens. Usually when there's a green light it could indicate a problem with the power supply, sometimes some capacitors do go bad. Check all of this and comment on this answer to see how it went.

You need the Horizontal Timing Kit for your TV. Chassis # is L04.1U AA can be found on the back of the TV. The part# is 4835 310 57673, Have a tv tech install this for you.!!!!
as your tube flash for a second & then click right back
it means you are getting power for that particular time means there might be some cold solder in power supply.
if it is ok then check for horizontal section for cold solder or some print loose.
