In the past, Google Chrome has been great as my browser. Recently it is not allowing me to reply to emails or to create a new message in yahoo mail. It worked just fine before. When I switch to Mozilla Firefox as a browser everything is fine and I can reply to emails as well as write new messages. Any ideas?

There can be several reasons why Google Chrome may be crashing on your computer. One of the main reasons can be your browser user profile is corrupted. You can try creating a new browser user profile and see if that resolves the issue. To do this, you can follow the steps below:
1. Exit Google Chrome completely.
2. Open Windows Explorer by pressing Windows key + E simultaneously.
3. Go to the address bar of Windows Explorer and enter the following address:
For Windows XP users:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\
For Windows Vista/ 7/ 8 users:
4. Locate the folder called "Default" in the directory window that opens and rename it as "Backup default."
5. Try opening Google Chrome again. A new "Default" folder is automatically created as you start using the browser.

Managing multiple users on Chrome
Do you share a computer with your family or friends on a regular basis? Do you want to keep your bookmarks, themes, and settings separate from everyone else's? You can add new users to Chrome to let everyone have their own personalized copies of Chrome on the same computer.
Add a new user
Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar and select Settings.
In the "Users" section, click Add new user.
A confirmation dialog appears, choose a picture and enter a name for the new Chrome user. Note: When you add a new Chrome user a desktop shortcut is created by default. If you don't want a desktop shortcut uncheck the "Add desktop shortcut" checkbox.Creating a desktop shortcut for new users allows each Chrome user on your computer to quickly access their profile. Different profiles are easily differentiated on the desktop by the different names and pictures associated with each profile.
A new window for the user appears, with a picture you've chosen for the user in the top corner. Here, you can sign in to Chrome with a Google Account to associate the account with the user. Once signed in, all the bookmarks, apps, extensions, theme, and browser settings for the user will be synced to the account. Learn more about signing in to Chrome
If you prefer, you can also choose to skip this step and not sign in. Settings for the user will be saved only on your computer instead.
Try logging into your email on a different browser. Try google chrome www.google.com/chrome or mozilla www.mozilla.com/products/download.html . Copy the links and paste on your browser adress bar to go to download page.
The problem would be on your internet connection, I would highly suggest you to restart your computer and try sending message once more. You would also want to consider clearing your browsers cache and cookies, clearing cache and cookies steps will depend on the browser you are using. Google Chrome and Safari browser are notorious in having browser issues, so I would suggest you to use Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer instead. you can visit the site blelow for the steps on how to clear your browsers cache and cookies.
My best answer based on the information given is that it could be a
compatibility issue with google chrome and yahoo email. Im not sure if
google chrome was tested with yahoo email yet by the yahoo staff. Try
opening the attachment in another browser such as firefox or internet
explorer. If you can open attachments with either those browsers, then its possible that google chrome isnt fully supported yet. Youll still be able to read and send email with google chrome but you may have to you one of the two browsers that i mentioned in order to get attachments.
