Question about Google Chrome

Can't reply to emails or create a new message

In the past, Google Chrome has been great as my browser.  Recently it is not allowing me to reply to emails or to create a new message in yahoo mail.  It worked just fine before.  When I switch to Mozilla Firefox as a browser everything is fine and I can reply to emails as well as write new messages.  Any ideas?

Yes, Google Chrome is having troubles when accessing Hotmail and Yahoomail.I got same problem a couple of days ago. Check these steps first:

  • Update to latest version Chrome 1.0.154.46(updated espcially for this bug fixing, means for you :>) )
  • Clear all your browsing history/cookies/cache.
  • Try reinstalling your browser if above step doesnt make it.
  • check all troubleshooting guides listed at GChrome.
As for me, now, everything seems to be fine.

ERR_NO_SUPPORTED_PROXIES error message with "This webpage is not available" notification. Please help. I downloaded Google Chrome and then received the above error message when I tried to open the desktop...

Hello Nigel,
Try to set the proxy in the browser.
Open Google chrome >>To the right of the address bar at the end is a wrench type icon click on it >>Almost at the bottom of the list it says options click it >> click on the tab that says "under the hood" >> next click the button that Change proxy settings >> in the next box that pops up click on "never dial a connection" >> next click on the LAN button >> next ensure that all check boxes are clear, with no check marks in them click OK >> then click OK again that should bring you back to the Google chrome options box >> click close
Then close out chrome now wait about 10 to 15 seconds to allow for chrome to recognize the new settings >> Reopen chrome and you should be able to use it just fine.
I hope this solution will helpful for you.

I get my emails but can't reply or forward on google chrome. Help?

Which e-mail client are you using this most probably is a web client issue rather than a browser prblem but still you can try to reset your browser to ensure that everythings is fine from your side. Alternatively try opening up it on a different computer and see that if the forwarding and replying options work. If not then you need to contact your web-client.

Browser make google my homepage

Refer to http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en-GB&answer=95314

On the otherhand, why don't you try using www.yourls.com as allows you to create a personal startpage with your favorite links. As well as stores your favorite links in the cloud, so that you can access them from any browser, device or location.

Who and how do I contact to see if a special Google Logo can be created? Harry McAlister hbm@nwlink.com

A chrome internet browser is the latest and would only function with recent operating systems, windows 7 for example. if the computer operating system meets the compartibility requirement, uninstall all proir internet browsers. Install chrome making the default internet browser. Chrome appears not to share settings with another browser on already on the computer. A complete uninstallation of prior browsers should remove the requirements of reseting chrome as a default once downloaded on the computer. important notes before the uninstallation takes places. 1. chrome is the upgrade of google browser. Uninstalling the google browser already in the computer would create an incompartible internet upgrade requirement to chrome. Only uninstall all browsers from the computer except google on condition that google is already on the computer. Google needs to be installed on the computer before The chrome could become downloadable update as latest browsing functionality thereafter. Finally adjust the computer internet systems setting for chrome to achieve relaxed flexibility of browsing.

Chrome Adobe Error

Fresh out of Google suppot -

"Download the flash player for windows xpi file - http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/xpi/current/flashplayer-win.xpi

"Rename the file to .zip

"Explore the .zip file and you will see a couple files, flashplayer.xpt and NPSWF32.dll, which you have to copy.

"Open another explorer window and go to the plugins folder of your google chrome browser, which might be at -
C/Documents and settings//Local Settings/Application Data/Google/Chrome/Application/Plugins/

"Paste both the files in this plugins folder and then close your Chrome browser and restart it

Those instructions worked fine for me, but I had to make one small change to the advice given there - Vista uses a different folder structure, so I had to paste the two necessary files into C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\Plugins

The folder Plugins did not exist when I navigated my way there, so I created it and dropped the two files in, restarted the Chrome browser and ... Voila! Working fine

Other thing I’d say is that my first step was to visit the Chrome Help pages, in particular, http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?answer=95697&cbid=1798iqe1e7223&src=cb&lev=answer

and installed Java 6 v 10 like they suggested, before doing the Flash business
