Konica 7040 trouble code 51-4

This 51-4 code is directly related to the write unit. It can either be a bad lazer index control board mounted externally to the side of the write unit or a bad M5 polygon motor. It is better to replace the whole write unit. Konica P# 26WA-6500.
On a side note, the 7020 write unit can be used in place of the 7022 write unit & is far less prone to failure then the 7022 write unit! 7020 write unit Konica P# 26NA-6500.

Key Operator Mode
To the Key Operator
The key operator is trained to handle all special key operator functions that are not
accessible to the general user, such as monitoring overall copier activity, machine
performance, and service information; modifying machine settings; and controlling user
activity, for billing purposes.
A unique 4-digit key operator password is normally set by service at installation. If the
unique code is not set by service, the copier will not display Key Operator Password
Entry Screen when the Key Operator mode is being accessed, and a key operator
password will not be required. A service-set 8-digit ECM master key code must be
entered by the key operator to access the Electronic Copy Monitor functions, and a
service-set 4-digit Weekly timer master key code must be entered by the key operator to
access the Weekly timer functions.
To ensure the security of Key Operator mode, it is recommended that you establish a
unique key operator password, along with the key operator ECM master key code and
Weekly timer master key code, and keep them in a confidential file.
r HELP is unavailable in the Key Operator Mode

How to Access the Key Operator Mode
1 First, be sure the copier power switch is OFF.

The Key Operator Password Entry Screen displays when the 4-digit key operator

Otherwise, the Key Operator Mode Screen displays without the password
requirement.
3 If the Key Operator Password Entry Screen is displayed, use the keypad on the
touch screen to enter your 4-digit key operator password; then touch OK, to display
the Key Operator Mode Screen. (See note.)
If the key operator password is not valid, check with your service representative.

Konica 7020 Printer

HI,
you need to reset the fuser latch as it has a fuser error code most likely needs new thermisters,
anyways give this a go, hold down 2 and 5 keys together and power on machine, this will put you into to a service mode call 25 mode, go to dip switch 3 and bit 1 and then next to bit 1 hit the key that says turn off,
turn machine off and back on should clear error code, if it doesnt you need new thermisters, even when you put in new thermisters you still need to clear this error in service mode
