I bought my Dell projector around 5 years ago, and a fatal error occured some months ago. I bought the projector as a second hand product and unfortunately the service tag id number was not where it should be so i have a problem here. 'Would be greatful for any help. Bst rgrds Bent Jamtli

the lamp is not at problem, but the dlp engine is at fault, u may have to replace it.since u bought it 2nd hand,it is not worth changing the same as it will cost u more than ur buying price.when u plan to buy ur next projector, make sure u buy a new one as it will come with a fresh lamp & manufaturers warranty on the unit & at 4000 / 5000 hours of projector usage is guaranteed!

Remove BIOS battery. Short BIOS jumper or leave the battery out for a long time(Over night,maybe) This should default the BIOS to having no pass word present. If that doesn't work then evidently Dell has one within the BIOS . Just ask them.

This removes bios password from any Dell machine. unrar it and Burn the Boot CD, and then Boot to it
