SOURCE: Harman Kardon Soundsticks II left speaker

Hi, Kazim
Firts things First:
1) check connector for 2 way sound. you can use a headphone for this.
2) you also buy Ipod dock sound speakers, there is Ihome speakers, great ones, for less than 25.00 dollars.
3) you have to see balance on those speakers.
good luck

I have a set of Harmon Kardan Soundsticks II needing a simple but confounding repair. One of the small pins (#5 I would say as you go over and around the arc of pins) of the satellite speaker connectors...

MiniDIN-4 Connector Pinout. Looking at the male connector from the rear (solder side) Pin 1 = White Pin 2 = Bare Wire Pin 3 = Light Grey Pin 4 = Dark Grey Outer case Ground = Clear

NEED POWER CORD FOR HARMANKARDON MODEL#nu40-2160150-13. input:100-240v 1.2a OUTPUT=16v=1.5A

I found this site. You need what appears to be the power cord for the Soundsticks II. You must get that part right, either original Soundsticks, II, or III.

http://www.impactcomputers.com/nu40-2160150-i3.html

I need the little plastic part that connects to this power cord. It's the piece that is connected to one of the soundsticks speakers, with the three pins.
I would appreciate knowing what the name of that part is, so that I can purchase it.
I find the price ridiculous for this power cord, and it was more than $200, prior!
Best of luck!

Soundsticks II power doesn't stay on unless button is held in.

It sounds like a broken switch, there is nothing you can do unless you are confident enough to replace the switch yourself. Is the warantee still in effect. Sounds like a tech is needed to do physical repair

Where can I buy the power suppy for the sound sticks II?

Q1: Do you have the original power supply and it is broken? Or did it disappear somehow?

If it disappeared, then you are not in luck. Even the parts web page of HarmanAudio.com doesn't have it in stock.
http://www.harmanaudio.com/search_browse/partlist.asp?Parts=SOUNDSTICKSII

You can contact the company: Harman Multimedia
8500 Balboa Boulevard, Northridge, CA 91329 USA
1.516.255.4545

If it is broken, it is possibly under warranty. Contact them at the same phone/address.

Harmon kardon speaker cable

you mean the 1/8" headphone jack? yes you can rewire it, its really simple. you can get them at your local radio shack usually for a outragous price. or you can go buy a cheap set of headphones and cut the wire, strip them, and attach them together and be fine. for a harder but better solution. you could even go out by a 1/8" 10' patch cable and cut one end off. just solder the points on the inside of the speaker as well. where the original wire was located (might even make it easier to diagnose + and -).

thanks and hope this helps
