Jbl flip does not connect by bluetooth

I started for the first time the bluetooth connection right after opening the package using my Blackberry smartphone. It worked perfectly. Then I tried to establish a second bluetooth connection with my IPAD, IPOD and my MacBook Air but none seem to find the JBL Flip device. I even "forgot" the device from the BB but still cannot be located with other devices, only the BB seem to recognize the device. What could be problem?

Press and hold power button while trying to connect to new device to reset conmection

Check the Harman website. The FLIP is not designed to connect to PC laptops via bluetooth, only audio cable.

My JBL Flip 2 has 3 buttons on it (not real obvious) power in the center, phone on one side and bluetooth laptop connect on the right. After the on button, choose phone or device. In windows go to device settings turn bluetooth on and then it should try to pair the device. Flip 2 will blink connection untill paired. Then right click on the sound speaker button in the lower right of the desktop, select playback devices and you should see a couple speaker devices listed. Select the JBL speakers. Worked good for me.

Jbl flip 2 won't connect to iPad

Assuming Bluetooth mode. Insure Bluetooth is enabled on the iPad and the JBL and that they are in the pairing mode.

Sometimes I find it necessary to restart a device to get its Bluetooth pairing mode to connect to the device I am trying to connect it to, such as a speaker or even my car.

I recently purchased a JBL Flip 3 bluetooth speaker. Although I had no problem pairing my Samsung Galaxy 7 to the speak, I cannot pair the speaker to either my Verizon tablet nor my Dell Inspiron.

This usually happens when your speakers has hidden feature, try to look for for appear option. When trying the next time make sure that your paired device is not connected to it, as most probably it can not connect to two devices at time.

I need a operating manual for jbl flip 2 stereo speaker

JBL has the Quick Start Manual for the Flip 2 on the product site: http://www.jbl.com/bluetooth-speakers/JBL+FLIP+II.html . Scroll down and expand the Manuals & Downloads section. The link to the manual is the one on the right. The direct link is http://demandware.edgesuite.net/aauj_prd/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-masterCatalog_Harman/default/dw3064f0fb/pdfs/Flip2_QSG_EN.pdf . The pairing feature should be as simple as tapping the Bluetooth icon on the speaker. Then set your laptop to search for a new Bluetooth signal.
