Hi bstetson328 - Try resetting the range by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately 30 seconds and turn on the unit. Select the self clean option, if it does not turn on then the temperature had tripped the internal sensor of the unit and needs to be reset. This usually has to be done by a professional since the back panel needs to be taken off and the power reset inside. Possibly the unit may have a communication problem with the EOC and I would suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately.

SOURCE: I have a self-cleaning older Frigidaire oven
Hi This means a
loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is
bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it
should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the
door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and
should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

SOURCE: MY self cleaning oven door will not unlock. Have tried to reset it. But it won't release
Hello.
What you need to do to solove the problem of the oven first of all carefull out off the oven from the power supply for some time then allow it to cool it self down for some time.
PLEASE note this dot not force the oven open after the first instruction above .
Then plug the oven back to the power click on the reset button, then after that you can then click on the open button and the problem is solve.
Thanks.
SOURCE: oven door won t open after self clean cycle
Hello there and welcome to Fixya
This is a fairly common problem with self cleaning ovens
The
problem normally is that the user has interrupted the clean cycle and
the door is locked by default or the door lock assy has failed all
together .
Now here is the thing these ovens have a built in memory
module that stores a number of commands that the user has input in it
like self clean or broil ect.ect so what you will have to do is to
clear the memory and it is done like this.
First unplug the oven and do not touch it leave it sit for a minimum of 1 hour this will reset the memory module
Now
only after the hour is up plug in the oven and you may hear a beep ora
click if so great wait a few min then you can press the cancel button
then try to open the door again.
Now if this has not worked then you
will have to remove the top part of the oven to get to the latch asy
which means you may have to remove part of the back of the oven or the
entire back piece depending on your model to be able to remove the
screws that hold in the top of the oven on the back then you should be
able to see the latch mechanism
Now remove it and have it tested or simply replace it ok
Hope
this helps please keep me informed on how this is going i can send
you a link to a site that has a video on how this is done if needed ok
to help you repair this
Best regards Mike
Hello
& Welcome to FixYa
First,
unplug it for 30 minutes and if the problem returns then it means that the door
lock assembly is bad & needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have
any other questions.
