Question about Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range - White-on-White
I have a frigidaire gas range/oven that seems to be stuck in DR (Door locked mode) although the oven can open and close freely. The memory on the oven seems to think the oven is locked when it really isn't. I've tried unplugging it for a few hours and powering it back on, but the DR still remains and I'me unable to bake. The burners still work fine though. What am I doing wrong here?
I have a frigidaire gas range/oven that seems to be stuck in DR (Door locked mode) although the oven can open and close freely. I pressed either bake or broil it always show DR error code. I bought new and never used the oven due to this error code. Since then and many years past I still can't use the oven. Only use burner since.
the light switch seem to be working correctly as when I close the door the light will goes off.
thanks

Good Morning ShawnR, thank you for your post!
An error code DR commonly refers to a door lock malfunction. I understand you have reprogrammed the range by unplugging it. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your range back on. Typically, this will clear most false error codes. If the error code continues to display, your range could possibly have a faulty door latch, light switch or EOC (electronic oven control). I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.
Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to assist you!

I found the manual online. Apparently my unit is malfunctioning and should work by just pressing bake temp and then selecting the temp...

SOURCE: Oven locked so I can't shut door/operate oven
Thanks a million, solved the problem like a charm. For those that can't find it, it is on the left side orf the OVEN, not the stove. Once you open the door, you'll find it on the frame's upper left side corner, can't miss it. Good luck

SOURCE: Frigidaire gallery stove, oven not working,
Morison,
The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?

Hello steve o - Typically error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually will clear most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear contact a professional to move forward accurately. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

Hey Susan, thank you for your inquiry!
Based off the information you have provided the oven door on your Frigidaire range is locked and will not close. You can press and hold the cancel button down for at least 15 seconds. If that does not work, you can perform a reset on your range by disconnecting the power from it for at least ten minutes. If you continue to experience issues with the range please comment back. I would be happy to assist you further. -Matt
Good Morning Richard, thank you for your inquiry!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire oven door is stuck closed and you are unable to shut the door. You can disconnect power from your range for at least ten minutes and that will reset your oven. This may trick your door latch into opening.
You can also hold down the cancel or clear button for 10 to 15 seconds that may allow your door latch to release. Also attempt to hold down the light and cancel buttons. I hope this information has been helpful to some degree. -Matt
Thank you for your post, friend!
I see that you are having some challenges with your Frigidaire range. On your control panel if you have a "Clear" or "Cancel" button you can hold that down for five to ten seconds and it should release the latch. You can also hold down the light switch button on the oven door frame and the cancel button simultaneously for five to ten seconds to see if that would correct the problem. Last, I would perform a reset on your range which can be done by disconnecting power from the range for ten minutes. I hope this has been helpful. -Matt
